The odd thing here is that usually, the ability to produce fantastic 3Ds goes hand in hand with the ability to produce amazing tracks, or at least that is a general rule of thumb. But here, the 3D work is flawless for the most part, but the trackwork is so poor in places that it's untrue!

T: This is the onnly place really where this ride falls down. There are a fair few issues with shaping, banking and realism here. A lot of the entries to corners are really off, in terms of their banking and shaping. It is especially noticable in the loop, entering and exiting the corner after the loop, in both of the corkscrews and on the exit of the air hill through the loop.

A: The track is a very good one, a nice one to recreate for sure, pretty thrilling and with a good layout. But the only way to get a 10 in this category is if the track is exactly correct, but because of the technical problems, this one is not.

O: You score very highly here because of the standard of your 3Ds. There are only a few faults. Basically, the only problems are possibly with the lighting/colours of some of the indoor 3Ds, but it's really minor. From what I can tell, the 3Ds are pretty damn accurate, and they're very well detailed.

Overall, this ride has a bit of a split personality; amazingly high quality detail work on the 3Ds but some fairly poor trackwork in places brings the score down a lot. So, you know what to work on next time, but definitely keep up what you're doing with the 3Ds and supports etc...

MACchiato:

In all fairness, the picture you've posted is testiment to how close the positioning actually is. If you were to rotate one of the two pictures so that the station was in line, I think that you would find the two layouts very close to each other indeed. With the only real issues being with realistic shaping.

There are alot of things that need work, like that your track had many pumps and strangly banked areas. Your scenery is so good but the ride itself really detracts from it, I also love your supports. On another note, your launch accel seemed a bit too quick, Blue Fire has a more gradual launch that appears to be very forceless. Nice ride though, I hope to see more from you. :)

I appreciated your efforts to recreate this great coaster. However, there are some issues concerning the BT here.

Technical:

As I already pointed out to you on rct-world.com before the release, the shaping of the elements is slightly of in some areas, and extremly off in others. I don't have a lot of time on my hands right now, but here's a picture to demonstrate what i mean. It's basically Blue Fire's layout from the maurer website used as a terrain texture in the editor.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v521/ ... tled-4.jpg

As you can see, there isn't really a single angle that's spot on. Even the station is different in reality. The most notable flaw is the first overbanked turn. The shaping isn't good at all and it doesn't resemble the original turn, let alone it's banking at all. While I could go on about this, I think that you get the point and so i would like to move on. The level of smoothness is similar to the level of layout accuracy: bad. A little more time here would have made the whole ride alot more enjoyable. All in all, this category kills the score of this ride. It doesn't stand up to the great scenery at all and that's a shame really.

Adrenaline:

This is a recreation and I wouldn't rate one down, if the real thing was really boring, but you had captured that boredom perfectly. Now the real Blue Fire is pretty spectacular and with the objects you capture a lot of it's flamboyance. However, i am missing the smoothness and the great flow of the real thing. Furthermore all the near misses seem to harmless to me.

Originality:

Kudos on the Island recreation!!! Great accuracy and lovely details. By far your strongest area. What could have been improved are for example the fences. It's not neccesary to do every wire as an object, a texture would have done just fine!

In the end, this ride makes me a little sad. You seem to have great 3ds skills, but you didn't put the effort this ride deserves into the trackwork and accuracy.

very fine recreation but the trackwork required alot of work

T- the trakc itself was pretty smooth however i did see a few bumps in transitions, there is no way any hangtime over that first turn, the 2nd half fo the ride was way to slow and spaced out. it was over all just a little to big. the final 3 inversions were all shaped wrong, the 2 corkscers were not heartlined enough and the final twist was heartlined too much.

A- pretty much as i remember it. its an exciteing ride with lots of twists and turns.

O- (or how acurate it was) the ?????????DS attention to detail was great, yes a few little things missed like the launch windows and the fencing but i guess that can be forgiven. the rtrack although had the shape was a little to far off in scale for my liking so you have to be docked point for that. but otherwise everything was there.

Wow, that's was a pretty accurate recreation. I did notice some small shaping issues which aren't there on the real ride. For example, the overbank after the loop is a bit more banked. Now it gave a lateral spike of 1.6g. Also i think the speed through the first turn was a little too slow. Since I can't really remember that much lateral hangtime over there.

The 3ds are again almost perfect to the real one. I did miss some small details like the sightseeing windows at the launch, or the fence at the single riders line. [;)]

Overall you've done a very good job! Definitely the best recreation from Blue Fire so far!

Tech
+Very very very well detailed
+Smooth trackwork
+Excellent shaping of some elements
-very tiny misshape on the loop I think
-Extra detail is a framerate killer, Some of the stuff that can't be seen on the coaster is a waste imo.

Adrenaline
No Complaints, looks fun. Same as the pov video

Acc
I've not ridden it, so I can't speak for certain.
+Everything is present and correct, all the speeds look reasonably accurate e.g. slow speed off loop descent
-Some little detail flaws - the lims start sooner in the tunnel (near the furnaces)

Awesome, please do nemesis.

Damn this thing was good! The 3ds were absolutely amazing and I even took a double take on the ride looking back from my seat (in front) saying were those spiral stairs? Yes, every detail even down to the rescue staircase is amazing. As far as tech goes flawless IMO and the supports were done very well, even where they are joined together looks real. Nice and smooth and Gs seemed in check. Just outstanding!!!
