"You'll be grinning like a cheshire cat"
My first coaster made with NoLimits coaster simulation 2. I used the script from the premade script park.
Cheshire is a mack Launch coaster with four inversions. The maximum height of the coaster is 29 meters (95 feet) with a top velocity of 90 km/h (56 mph).
The cheshire cat is a mysterious creature. Appearing and disappearing just like that. Maybe he'll help you... or he will push you back with a grin on his face.
Interesting ride! I enjoyed the idea - however for a fantasty rollercoaster it was slightly lacking in the adrenaline department and perhaps the originality section. This might've served better as a Realistic creation!
Technical Track was alright quality throughout the ride - no major issues here although there were some places that needed smoothing and all the elements didn't seem to flow into each other properly which made the ride seem a bit less smooth than it might. Particular bump was one coming out of the first inversion.
Passed all the basics! Good job.
Supports were sufficient for the most part- I liked the work on the switch track over the lake! The lift supports needed lateral bracing however as they would have fallen over otherwise.
Terrain was fairly good, I would've liked to have seen some more terratextures in there and perhaps some way to to hold the water tunnel in place. The additional extras to make the ride an area were pretty well placed and did add to the feel of the place.
Adrenaline The ride had good consistency of pacing - however I felt it was a bit slow in various locations. In my opinion you needed to manage your speed a bit better as you didn't have a lot of height or speed to work with.
Forces were decent and well managed throughout the ride. Only preference would've been less hangtime on the rolls but other than that it was good work.
The ride interacted with the terrain well throughout the ride and really added to it. I think the ride had a nice mix of above ground and below ground elements! Again all of this was decent for a realistic ride, just for a fantasy ride I'd expect you to push the boundaries much more!
Originality The ride had various unique elements and ideas within it - the trackwork was different to your standard ride and had an innovative twist to the ride. The only thing missing here was any real kind of themeing to the ride. You needed to implement the themeing within your ride a bit more!
- Technical - trackwork wasn't the best, supports weren't fantastic, but it was a really cool layout. The tunnels were awesome and at some points disorienting.
- Adrenaline - There was definitely something about this ride that was unique. I loved the little ledge before the backwards launch where you could see everything that there was to be seen. Then there were the tunnels. They not only made it confusing but also exciting at the same time even though the riders didn't know where they were going.
- Originality - As I've said before, there was definitely something unique about this ride. I rode a few times to get an idea of the layout and I still love the overhang above the lake.
