Track Description
TThomas Park by tthomas/mavman

This is meant to be a section of a park that features two high intensity, innovative, and compact roller coasters.

Falcon is a B&M Sitdown Looper that features a vertical lift, a near vertical drop, and a unique layout that stays in a compact footprint.

Falcon:
Speed-86 km/h ?????? 53 mph
Inversions-5
Height-34.8m ?????? 114.1ft
Length-819.152m ?????? 2687.5ft

Aero is an Intamin Rocket that features a launched lift, plenty of airtime, and modern inversions.

Aero:
Speed-108 km/h ?????? 67mph
Inversions-4
Height-33.5m ?????? 109.9ft
Length-979.172m ?????? 3212.5ft

The park also features Stratosphere, a gyro drop tower made by Magu, and Tornado, an Enterprise flat ride made by the NL Dev Team. The park lamps are from Magu's park light pack.

A special thanks to Spike, who made all of the custom signs for the rides, as well as putting in a special script that is never before seen in NL2! Make sure to stop for refreshments across from Tornado!

Enjoy your stay at TThomas Park, and please leave a comment or rate on the site from which you downloaded the ride; it would be much appreciated!

**I may eventually expand this park, as I have a couple of ideas (one being inserting Harrier behind Tornado).

The numbers reflect my overall opinion of the park area - I've not bothered to give detailed numbers to my thoughts as its a bit of a pointless exercise!

Falcon - 9/10
The trackwork on this ride was really, really good in my opinion. Your shaping was excellent throughout and the shaping and lack of pumps was good. All the inversions were well shaped - especially some of the more tricky elements such as the rising roll into the turn. I thought the supports all in all were good - you did a good job of squeezing in realistic supports into a compact area without making it look too crowded (bonus realism points in terms of B&M style)

The ride seriously packed a decent punch too - I love how you filled every gap between major elements with clever track ideas - the end of the ride benefited from this especially - I felt the lead in to the final brake run was particularly well designed. I genuinely think this ride felt like a really well planned out ride - the layout was full of innovation as you were aiming for and most of all the ride felt very complete - which is an especially hard thing to do (even for real world designers!)

There were some niggles with the ride however. Realism-wise half the ride didn't feel like a B&M at all - and I get you went for innovation but its my opinion that if you're aiming for a manufacturer style then that should be reflected within the ride. For instance the box supports, vertical lift hill and rising roll are things that I don't feel B&M would do.

Some support tweaks I felt were required were a bit more support (perhaps a thick spine) for the rising roll as the shaping doesn't resemble an arch to allow the weight of the track to be supported through the roll so well.

Aero - 8/10
This ride was also pretty cool, again your trackwork was good throughout and your execution of the difficult elements were good. What especially stood out for me on this ride was the support work - there was some really good stuff here. I especially liked the hang time hill and the snake dive element support-wise. Was efficient and inventive and was aesthetically good. I enjoyed the head choppers too!

The ride was pretty exciting, the innovative elements made for an interesting ride if a little linear. I thought the forces were pretty good throughout and the surprise final inversion was a welcome addition! Clearly you'd get full marks for originality as certainly there isn't anything I've seen that this really resembles - despite the obvious influences here and there!

I felt that the lift/launch thing was incorrectly set up and felt really awkward in the end. The ride suddenly burst into life as you crested the hill and this felt odd and I didn't particularly like it. I think it would have been better with an earlier strong launch or a more gradual build up of speed.

The ride also lacked flow in many areas - it wasn't linked together nearly as well as Falcon and a lot of the elements just felt... isolated in a way.I think a contributing factor of this quite possibly was the lack of turns on the ride as a whole - it felt very straight and grid like.

The trackwork definitely suffered at the end of the ride as you had a couple of weird kinks on the brake run that didn't feel quite right - the final element / turn probably needed tweaking to give you a better run in I think.

Rest of the Park - 9/10
I thought the drink script was very nice although it didn't work fantastically well (didn't follow orientation of player) There were also no bins in the park to throw it away in!

When you look at this park top down it looks well set out - I think the spread of the rides and the booths / shops is good and everything looks and feels like you'd expect in the park. Personally I'd have liked to see the queue line for Falcon to have come out closer to Tornado as to draw more people to that area as there is a really nice seating area and booths around that ride!

The area/park as a whole didn't really have a theme to it and felt quite generic. You did do a very good job of making it look like a proper park however, all the fences were in place, pathways and the rest of the park furniture definitely added a lot to the entire place.

Generally it was really good to be honest - the park didn't feel empty at all and I think that's something a lot of NL parks find difficult to overcome so... good job and liked!
