This is my version of a realistic Southern California beach coaster. The track is hand-done, the supports are auto-generated, but all bracing/crossovers are custom, as is all of the structures to add color and life to the boardwalk in front of the Beach Twister. Obviously, I'm using the 2 existing Giant Dippers as inspiration for the track style, and I'm using the wonderful Santa Cruz as a model of sorts for the building structures. This was completed quite some time ago - well before I obtained NL2.
You could open this up in NoLimits, ride it and instantly tell who built it, your style is so recognisable - and awesome!
My favourite bit of this one was actually the part near to the end where the track flies right past the station, underneath all the structure of the coaster above giving a real sense of speed, and then you can see the dive down at the end of that section coming up on you - just really enjoyed that bit.
I'm loving the detail work you did on the boardwalk as well.
I must say that this is the coaster I enjoyed the most lately. Really cool design style and amazingly realistic. It really felt I was on to it and I loved when it runs through the wooden structure. Nice color choice, fitted well with the environment. The shaping was really good so were the Gs. Since you are an expert of wooden I'd like to know your opinion on my last one! Great job can't wait to see your next one! Edit: I've got a texture error. You should check it out.
As for realism, this is a pretty fun woodie, which makes me think of a classic "Big Dipper" that will send us flying through close-by beams! BT7 does look awe... awesome in a distance.
As for technique, the ride stays wild as one ''worth it'' traditional woodie. I consider this ride really smooth for such a model. I would want to keep on riding this credit more than 20 times in a row (Would be about an hour long experience!) if there was no queue time at all! Speaking of some (questioning?) transitions are, I know, not those of a modern track, but I assume that they will give a high excitement, even to most full-fledged enthusiasts! It's always good to feel some jerkiness or wobbles throughout!
As for adrenaline,
As for uniqueness, I like some large turns underground, before the lift hill, which they gave me a good surprise! Such a warm-up section is a must when you have to be ready to scream.
As for rider value,
9/25/2015: Since I have got a better way to rate coasters now, I think I will have to refine this rating in the near future. So I will reride. I deleted some rating criterias today for a legit put-together rating. I may later edit scores.
Love this ride Bobcoaster - you always provide classic woodie after classic woodie and I love riding them! Can't wait to see what you do with NL2 My favourite part of this ride was the low to the ground twisty airtime section towards the end of the ride - that was really fun. The style was perfectly recreated too and a really enjoyed the promenade.
Some of the transitions perhaps could've done with a little TLC and in my opinion it was a bit *too* long to not have some sort of MCBR or something - I'm not sure of the capacity of this ride would be fantastic.
