Running along the edge of the Scar River Valley, Apex Park is home to a brand new state of the art rollercoaster.
Zenith is one of the tallest, fastest and longest Giga coasters in the world. The second ever Giga Coaster built by Swiss Engineer firm Bolliger and Mabillard, it features a 308ft drop, a 240ft spiralling 'Ampersand' element, 5 Airtime filled hills, two additional speed hills, a double down element, Overbanked and Horseshoe turns, an upward helix and a spectacular water splash feature finale.
Absolutely wonderful. One of the best downloads for me in a while. The layout was incredible. I loved the idea of starting right off the bat with that figure eight turnaround. There were a few overarching significant technical flaws, however. The first drop was sharp and the back seat got to -1.0 g's which is aggressive for a giga, and throughout the ride the forces in the extrema seats were quite strong compared to the real life counterpart. Since that is the case, this probably would have worked better as a 4-across hyper. Some of the banking transitions were too quick for a B&M hyper/giga too, definitely. The overbanked turns in particular had really whippy banking entrances and exits. But overall it was an great design and I really look forward to more of these Apex group designs.
I absolutely loved this! That spiral climb and dive needs to be on a real ride! The double down on the return leg was a nice original touch for the style of ride. I'd love to ride this in real life! Good job!!
T: The trackwork and shaping were spot on! The ride had a definite B&M flow. I really appreciated the small details in the track work as well. It was really evident throughout the ride that each element was well thought out and received a good amount of attention.
A: Very good in this department. The drop was incredible and the ampersand was phenomenal. The layout up to the airtime hills was amazingly fast and fun. I felt that the airtime hills slowed the pace down, but not so much that it hurt the ride. I would quite enjoy this section because of all of the airtime!
U: As unique as you can get while keeping the ride true to B&M. I loved the use of the terrain and the sequence up to the airtime hills was truly amazing!
RV: Just awesome! This ride and the surrounding area were executed so well. I LOVED the station! It has to be one of my favorite stations in NL! This would be a great addition to a park with varying terrain such as this.
Realism: As I said above, the surrounding area, the attention to detail in the trackwork/supports, and the overall realistic nature of the ride really makes this ride shine!
Very well done and I look forward to your future creations!
