The Village is proud to announce the opening of A'RAGE, the park's B&M floorless coaster! If you all can remember, A'RAGE was SBNO when the park was originally released due to some issues with the structure of the ride itself... After months of tweaking and a partial rebuild, A'RAGE is ready for its debut! A'RAGE stands 175ft tall along the side of part of the park's mountain terrain with a top speed of over 70mph! In this update, you'll be able to see some construction going on in different areas of the park, including that of the newest coaster... no official stats of this new coaster have been released but you'll be able to see that "whatever" it is, is quite impressive in size! Lastly, if you do some exploring, you'll be able to see that a couple of unannounced surprised were put into the park as well!
Not much as changed when it comes to the other rides at the park, you'll see that Boomerang is sporting a bright, new color scheme and Anaconda has been reduced to one train op... other than that, everything is pretty much the same.
Special thanks again to those of you who make the scripted flat rides available for all of us to use, Projektion, Magu, and of course the NL Team. I also would like to thank Plantoris for allowing me to his snack stalls and midway games.
T: This was acceptable, but it could have been better. More smoothing on your rides was needed, and one of the key areas requiring improvement was your transitions. The B&M coasters had Intamin-like transitions that were real head knockers. The supports were okay and of the correct type. I did notice a few tree collisions on Anaconda. You seemed to capture the shaping of Arrow Dynamics well, though.
A: Most of these coasters were pretty fun. What detracted from the overall fun factor was the insane transitions on those B&Ms. Some of the lateral G's hit the red zone.
U: I liked the layout of these rides, and the park was well designed. It was fairly spacious and decently themed. I think your most creative coaster was Enigma. I've never seen the inversion where the train rotates 180 degrees one way and then doubles back.
R: I'd say most of these rides have already been seen in real life, but Taipan 325 didn't seem very realistic. It just wasn't akin to a real B&M giga coaster.
RV: If I went to this park, I'd probably enjoy it and leave saying the rides were fun, but I would also most likely leave with a headache from the roughness of some of the rides.
You asked, I responded, which is an extremely rare occurrence, so here we go
Realism- The coasters overall felt pretty realistic. I could see them being build in real life in major parks. Anaconda was a bit risky especially with the speed of the train through some of the inversions. Same with Enigma, some of the inversions were a bit fast and slow.
Technique- This kind of raps into what I said before. Anaconda and Enigma had either too fast or too slow elements. Anaconda was primarily fast, Enigma was fast until the end. The trackwork was solid and I didn't see any noticeable pumps that affected the rides at all. Something I need to dock you for is the blocking issues with Anaconda and Enigma. They crash and or the block system gets screwed up at some point on both rides and the whole ride completely stops working.
Adrenaline- This park was very fun, I spend an hour or two with it open. That is very long for me.
Uniqueness- I thought the collection of coasters were solid, the coaster lineup is not really unique in my opinion. For the kiddie coasters, yes, but for the main coasters, eh not so much. Most parks have the invert, the classic arrow, the larger coaster, sometimes the floorless. Add a Timberliner or an RMC and that would have made the line up unique. Kudos though for the Giga coaster; that raises your unique points a bit.
Rider Value- I thought the park was a good value, I would have been happy with a day ticket to the park, but there are not enough "Mind blowing coasters" to keep me coming back for the whole line up. I would keep coming back probably only for the Giga coaster, and even that can get boring after a while.
The park is very spacious. Leaves a lot of room to be filled up. Perhaps shops or other flat rides? The roller coasters are all good with the exception of the Vekoma. Please tear it down, it brings back nightmares from Boomerang at Knott's Berry Farm. I really wanted to ride the blue one but I see it opens this year. That one looks to be the best of all in my opinion. The trackwork on all rides was good and smooth. The Vekoma looked very realistic in terms of how much pain I would be in once I got off from it. The uniqueness, well, the rides are uniquely designed in their own way but I think you will improve it even more with the addition of different ride manufacturers in the future. Realism is good, just wish it didn't look so bare. Maybe small shops, chance games, etc. It just felt too empty if you know what I mean. Rider value was good and I can see people wanting to come back many more times. I'd like to see how you progress with this park. Be sure to let me know when you post an update. Thanks!
I'll return to rate later as I'm short on time now but I wanted to let you know that this was AWESOME, but also that there's a horrific collision on Anaconda entering the Butterfly. Not sure there's much that can be done at this point but I thought I'd throw it out there; it's not even a tree thing... the track is practically intersecting. But I'm splitting hairs. This is amazing and I will return to give you the rate you deserve.
