After many months of working, I present to you... Escapade
Escapade is a RMC/Intamin hybrid woodie. I know this combination of companies is most likely never going to happen, but I thought that it would make for an extremely fun ride. Escapade features an 80 foot drop, a zero g roll, multiple air time hills, and many thrilling twists and turns.
Special thanks to... *nseven for the beautiful foliage *Dave for the great skybox *TheDarkStar for making the awesome trailer video *Everyone in the forum who supported me and helped me to make this ride possible
All in all I really enjoyed this ride -it had great aesthetics and plenty of fun elements and an inventive layout. It is certainly one of the most inventive layouts I've seen - accentuated by you devising your own cross-designer style! I thought the trim brake in the middle was well executed and you did really well to maintain the pacing afterwards. I thought you had a great variation in positive and negative G's and the 0G was a really fun first element.
Things you could have improved on: Lateral supports - the ride was lacking throughout and this would have really finished off the ride. I appreciate it's not exactly easy to do this at the moment (pray for being able to selectively hide things in the editor haha). Also I felt the ride lacked any real lateral G's - especially in some of the twisty sections where the ride would have really benefited. I also wasn't fond of the block arrangement at the end with the friction wheels on the initial brake run.
T - Technique here was really good! Shaping, track work and forces were all really good! To be honest, I do feel like this was very much an Intamin Prefab... with an inversion, not a mixture of the of 2. Also, I don't think the MCBR was needed do to how short the ride was but it was that big of an issue
A - This was a very short ride and do feel like the MCBR was a little unnecessary but, I am glad that it didn't slow down the pacing of the ride.
U - Like I said, I do feel like this was more of an Intamin Prefab instead of an RMC, so I do like the fact that you incorporated the inversion because that's something that's never been done on this coaster type.
R/RV - Shaping and everything "real" about this ride was very "REAL" if you know what I mean? Lol It was a lot shorter than any other Intamin Prefab out there but, it was good nonetheless and I feel like this is something that I could see a smaller park installing.
