Hraesvelgr is a B&M Giga that would be the tallest coaster with conventional lift if built in real life. In nordic mythology, Hraesvelgr is one of the Jotuns (giants). Taking the shape of an eagle, Hraesvelgr sits on the end of the world, and creates the wind by moving his wings. Experience the "end of the world wind" as you travel at breathtaking speeds, through sharp turns, weightless drops and other maneuvers in one of the tallest, longest and fastest coasters of the world.
WORK IN PROGRESS: I'll continue working on this, finishing and fixing this area and its errors, and then expanding to different zones. You can check the progress on the forums, and I'll be updating the download (saddly I'll have to link to an external site, as NLE doesn't allow reuploading)
Problems I'm aware of:
- Station scaling and exit clearing. Will be fixed. - Transfer track wall. It's supposed to move with the track, but I haven't scripted it yet. - Excesive use of rocks. Most of them will be replaced with alpha fences and other stuff eventually.
More things:
- Buildings and textures are not completed. Think of them as placers. - More optimization will be done. Main problem is the vegetation, as 3d trees consumes too much resources and 2d trees doesn't look as nice as I want.
IMPORTANT :You need to download N7 trees. You can download them here:
Place the downloaded folder into \com.nolimitscoaster.nolimits2\
Thanks to:
-nSeven for his awesome trees. They really change this game for the better. -TheCodeMaster: not just his rocks, but all of the improvements and experiments he's doing. -6FlagsManiac: the amazing environment -StationJimJunior: for some scenery objects. -All the people who has (and hope they will too) followed the project!
Enjoy your ride!
Please, if you leave a rate, just talk about Hraesvelgr. The other coasters are there as fillers. There will be more work on those on the future!
Any issues with the 3DS on this beta version I believe have been addressed, though just in case I'll also point out that the stairs on the entry side of the station are oversized and not flush with the ground. That being said, what a station. The presentation here is fabulous, excellent job creating the feel of an almost Busch Gardens-esque park. Scenery was also employed well throughout the entire course of this sprawling coaster.
As for the main coaster itself, I think the only place it really lacks is in being highly derivative of real-world examples...but that's neither here nor there as Hraesvelgr seems to take the best parts of both Fury and Leviathan and mash them up quite well. I wish I could offer some more constructive criticism but Coasterkid has that covered, and your overall execution is solid.
Stellar work here, and I am so very thirsty for more from you.
Since this is a beta I'm not going to give you a full on rating: * Top of the lift pumps hard * Couple pumps here and there in other places * All of the brakes need the dropped spine * The Fury 325 style turnaround spirals up fast steeper, shallows a bit and is less steep, and then spirals up steeper again. This makes the banking a bit odd. It rides fine and is technically sound, just if it wasn't what you're going for be aware of that. * Excellent ride placement, environment, theming, and landscaping so far
I didn't look too hard at the LSM coaster, but fix the immelman on it. It has a massive pump and it flattens as it begins to twist bizarrely.
This is by far the most realistic thing i have ever seen on this website! I've seen some of the pictures in your forum updates, but this really blew my mind. I just really felt like i was there, in the park, like on a real theme park. Thank you for this awesome experience. Really close to a perfect ride for me!
I normally don't leave a rating for a coaster download, but this definitely deserves one!
