I had to take a really long time or a few months to complete this pack-a-punch yet refreshing woodie. Well, adding supports accordingly was the biggest task for me. Since someone gave me a piece of advice like I had to brace crossovers, I worked on them. Now let's move on to the small stats for ''Cocktail'' an almost 1700-foot long attractive ride. From these posted images you can see that it's got intense turns and airtime hills. You know it's only about 50' tall, but will keep you amused for 92 seconds! The only concern is... hopefully this ride will be able to pass the legit tunnel test. Oh my... it's challenging to check clearances for a woodie when the track is banked. G-forces are in check, I think.
i really like the compact layout but i felt like the turn where a bit too harsh and sudden and the brakes where really strong and wouldnt be comfortable but overall its great
Great ride Lol240! I really enjoyed this! I'm not going to rate it in my typical fashion as that's quite geared towards NL2 and I think the lack of certian features in NL1.8 make designing much more difficult.
Technical: You did a really good job here keeping teh ride smooth - which is difficult in NL1.8 - especially with such a compact track. The supportwork was really good too and I think you did a good job adding to the autosupport generator. Minor gripes - I felt you overbank a couple of the turns (Bottom of the first drop and the turnaround the first drop) - remember when banking stuff when you're still pulling up from a drop they need less banking due to the curvature of the track. The track could've possibly done with a bit more smoothing (One technique commonly used was not to have
Adrenaline: The first section had it all - airtime, laterals, fun elements. I really thought you pulled out all the stops there. However the latter section really lacked, there were flat sections begging for a small airtime hill and the brakes were far too harsh and killed the ride somewhat. Especially the final trim brake before the turnaroun, I'd have liked to see you maintain a bit more speed there and reprofile the ending. All the forces seemed good and there was a good variety in there!
Uniqueness: This ride was exceptionally unique as far as the trackwork and ideas went. You had loads going on and your use of space was fantastic. Ride would've benefitted perhaps from some custom woodwork for the station etc. but otherwise it was really good.
Realism: The ride itself remidned me of the smaller GG woodies which certainly isn't a bad thing. I think the ride felt quite realistic although the latter half of the ride felt a little drawn out and the brakes were a bit harsh!
Nice, little coaster. Until the first blockbrake it??s fun. There is enough energy for a second, exciting part with more elements, so that the brakerun don??t have to stop the car with 2.0g. But ..a funny ride =)
