Diamond Valley originally opened in 1908 as a National Tourist Destination and campground and was owned by Diamond Valley Resorts (DVR). For ten years, Diamond Valley operated just as a Naturalistic Campground until they were approach by Westland Ride Co., a company who specialized in portable fairs and carnivals and had an extreme interest in wanting to set up one of their carnivals on the grounds of the valley. Originally, DVR wasn't too fond of the idea of having a carnival in the valley because they felt that it would distract guests from what "really mattered" which was the natural beauty of the valley itself. After several months of negotiation, DVR agreed to allowed Westland Ride Co. to set up a small carnival which would only have five rides and a few game stalls. A contract was written stating that the carnival would operate for a total of only two weeks (14 consecutive days). DVR had doubts that this carnival would bring enough additional business to make a lucrative profit but, to their surprise, the carnival was huge success with the guests and shortly after the contract was amended allowing a 26 day extension. At the end of carnival's now 40 day period, DVR offered Westland Ride Co. a pretty penny to purchase the rides and games stalls to allow for a permanently installed and fully operational carnival, the offer was excepted on the terms that Westland Ride Co. would have full control over the operations of the rides. DVR operated the permanently installed carnival (which was later named 'CarniValley') for ten years before they installed their first thrill ride. In 1928, DVR opened their first roller coaster, "The Diamond Valley Dipper" which was designed by John C. Miller. The coaster stood 65 feet tall and had a top speed of approximately 35mph.
As time past, the DVR became increasingly involved in the amusement industry and in 1930, the decision was made to expand the small CarniValley carnival into a full scale theme park. With this decision came the announcement of a brand new attraction, The Racer; The Racer was to be the first of its kind, the world's first roller coaster to offer a racing experience. Unfortunately, the opening of this new ride didn't go as smooth as everyone would've hoped. DVR received countless complaints about The Racer's overall ride experience; this combined with the ride's downtime ultimately led to its demise. The Racer closed and was demolished after only being opened for 3 years. The Racer caused the company to take a huge financial hit and in December of 1938, CarniValley was put up for sale while the campground was remained owned and operated by DVR. Thankfully, the park wasn't on the market for long; by February of 1939, CarniValley was sold to Cool5 Amusements and after a full year of renovations, refurbishments and a couple of new installations, the park reopened to the public under the new name 'Diamond Valley Park'. Under the new ownership of Cool5, Diamond Valley Park received a plethora of new rides and attractions; most notably were, Wind Storm ,one of the world's first stand up coasters, Highway and Chupy: the Joy Coaster, all of which are still in operation today. Cool5 Amusements owned and operated the park for over 10 years before it was closed in 1949.
Over the next 60 years, the park had many different owners, including Six Flags who acquired the park 1962, renaming it 'Six Flags Diamond Valley. With the Six Flags purchase came the closure of the Diamond Valley campground. A new light shined through the park under the direction of Six Flags bringing many world class attractions to the park, including Superman the Ride (now to be known as THOR: Ride of the Odinforce), the first coaster over 200ft to feature an inversion and Power Tower, the world's tallest drop tower ride built by S&S. In 2010, Six Flags announced its departure from this park which left it in a dormant phase for the next five years. During this time, a lot of the park's rides were relocated to different parks leaving the public to think this park would never reopen... until now that is!

*Things that I'm aware of* -Error message in regards to "Guardians" block issue which due to the way I have made the transfer/storage track to promote realism. -Lag that is mainly caused by the buildings in the area of the 'Arabian Nights' shot towers as well as the fact that is a FULL park... I did what I could with lowering the LODs in the majority of the support structures and buildings.
As usual, please, please, please leave a comment and rate as those are what help me move forward and improve on future projects!
Crazy park - A appluad you for finishing this magnificant beast! There are perhaps some optimization tricks that could've help but perhaps this is just pushing the very boundary of NoLimits in its current state!
Attraction Placement/Use Of Space/Accessibility/theme:- Seemed decent enough - the park felt spread out enough to keep a flow of people without feeling too sparse. There were definite themes here and there - and you did a really good job around the mega lite / arabia area. My only gripe would perhaps be that the Togo was very hidden away - which problably isn't ideal for a Togo lol. The big rides seemed to be well spread out and you didn't overly clump together similar rides although there was perhaps a concentration of inverting coasters near the B&M.
Quality of Rollercoaster: This was probably the low point for the park - there was a tonne of invension and loads of good ideas in almost every single coaster you built (bar the B&M giga with a tacky 0g roll - bleh give me more airtime!) However many tracks had technical problems that somewhat let the ride down. From excessive lateral g's on the invert, pumping throuhgout most of the track on the giga and bizzare trim brakes on the mine train each track had it's problems.
That said you deifnitely captured the feeling for the vast majority of the rides - the togo was a great addition and the mega lite was by far my favourite ride there. Quick, relentless, sneaky tunnel which made the ride feel so much longer than it actually was and so good forces to boot. I liked the style of the woodie too although as mentioned it didn't really feel out of control or like an old skool woodie. The spinner was pretty cool too - albeit a tad short for my liking.
Anyway, great park - I wish I could've enjoyed it more without deleting half the scenery to ride the coasters but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
Great park here! The thing I loved the most was so many brands of coasters are represented and you capture the feel of each so well. Each one was unique and fun. you spread the rides out well and had coasters in every corner. you had themed sections of the park, something I always struggle with. I really had fun and spent a while playing around.
There were only 2 things that bugged me, the first was FPS rate. Now, I know most of it is unavoidable with that many coasters but, I could teach you a few things that would most likely help quite a bit. just hit me up if your interested. The other was the mechanical aspects of the coasters. Things like really short break runs, stopping to fast, and one coaster crashed.
Wow! This park really had it all! Unfortunately my FPS dropped below 10 due to all the scenery and the screen jerked and missed as I tried to walk around. It would be absolutely amazing if you could upload a "low detail' version of the park. From the air the park looked amazing and the rides and placement was perfect. I just wasn't able to get the full experience of the park due to the massive graphics hit.
This was an awesome park and one I'd love to see actually built.
Deleted alot of scenery to get decent FPS on this.
I'll keep this brief because it's impossible to rate the whole file without writing a novel. All of the portable rides you made, especially the spinner, look really great. The spinner needs flanges though. I forget those too don't worry. Thank god this isn't like NL 1 where you need that tool to make them lol. Those are tricky to get right I know, and sometimes the box beams do not cooperate.
The Arrow looper's banking was a bit too friendly. If you look at something like Demon, you could make your drop like that and it would work out just fine. Also the helix is a bit too geometrically fluid. Aside from that it looks like what it is intended to and has a Cedar Fair vibe.
I liked the B&M hyper a ton, the only problem I found was that the block brake was a bit high in the air and that kind of killed the pacing. I don't know what else you could have really done with it though considering what the layout was after it. Solid realistic ride, but nothing super stunning or noteworthy about it.
Rode the invert next. Neat ride that plays off of Banshee pretty well. Again it died at the block brake. I understand the roll needs to be a bit slow, but that whole section and the high turn before the drop into the tunnel could have been lowered 10ft and gone though that section a bit quicker.
Rode the megalite next. Well done on this one. It would have been nice to have more than flat turns in it, but it works overall and I like how you did that weird thing where they switch to the 2 rail track with 100000000 supports at the end lol.
10/10 Togo standup. The air was a wee bit strong for their standards on the little hill after the helix, but aside from that it's dead on.
The minetrain was pretty good as well. Only weird thing is that it braked the train while the first car was going down the drop after the block brake, but aside from that it worked and felt Vekoma-ey.
The classic woodie was odd because you totally killed any and all laterals it should have had while making the airtime a bit too strong. It wasn't bad, it's just not a combination I usually see. The far turnaround could have been unbanked and had the 0.4 lateral G's lol.
Love Mario and the whole Bomb-omb thing you had going on.
Overall I'm sorry I can't write more, it's just the place is too big for me to comment on everything. The whole park had a Cedar Fair ibe, and I think you did a really great job on it. Nothing stood out or was ugly, and the rides were decent and paid homage to what they're supposed to be. The park had a great layout a decent variety of rides.
