The Manticore is Persian legendary creature that has the body of a red lion, a human head with three rows of sharp teeth (like a shark), bat-like wings, and a trumpet-like voice. It is my first attempt at making a B&M wing coaster from the ground up. My 1st wing coaster - Valkyrie - was a floorless ride I imported from NL1 and converted to a wing coaster. Manticore features a 153 ft 1st drop, speeds over 65 mph, 5 inversions - including a wing over drop, a zero-g roll, a dive loop, a corkscrew, and a barrel roll, and it features a unique figure-8 helix maneuver which really pushes the g-forces and makes for a very wild ride regardless of what side you???re sitting on.
I liked the layout and effort you put into making this reminiscent of a proper wing coaster, although it had the fatal flaw of being too quick through the banking change between those two turns mentioned in the other rating. Be aware that when you're sat out on the wing of a coaster when you change banking heartlining does little to nothing to counter lateral G's. Your other elements were right on the cusp of being too intense but you kept them within, just compare your first drop with Swarm's first drop, your rotations are far quicker!
On a positive note as mentioned it had good intensity and I thought the layout worked well. The supportwork and general ride workmanship was good - I enjoyed the ride overall.
Technique- You had great technique while making this ride. It was creative and had a nice setting.
Adrenaline- The ride would give a good adrenaline rush if built in real life. The drop into the tunnel was fun, all of the inversions were great, and there were some good forces.
Uniqueness- In a way it was unique, however there were some things such as the wingover drop and the heartline roll have been used in other wing coasters. That isn't a bad thing, it's just been done before.
Realism- I could see this built in real life except for the high g's that I will get to next.
Rider Value- I don't think I would ride this if the g's in one of the turns were there. On the right side, it displayed 2.7 horizontal g's and on the left, it showed -2.4. Other than that, I would love to ride it.
