Technical: First things first, penis enlargers used so thats -0.5. Technicaly its not bad, but its not great either, theres some very nice support work that brings your marks up a bit, smooth in most places but there is a few jerks dotted around and some banking is not so good. That track near the end that was almost like trick track or whatever its called, that was quite a good idea, but it hasn't been done all that well I don't think, not bad technically
Adrenaline: Meh, its ok, some good airtime on it, nothing really very exciting going on, seems to just amble along for most of it at a speed which is just under what you'd like I think. Not bad though, that sort of tunnely thing you've done with the supports adds a little to the excitment in places though, nice idea, a bit like Viper @ SFGAdv.
Originality: Again, not bad here, its a nice layout that I could see being used in real life, but theres just nothing new here I don't think, it all seems like you've ridden it before sort of. It is a nice layout though.
T: i havent seen any problems with the track itself it is extremely smooth but the thing that makes this coaster a winner is the handmade catwalk and tunnels that makes this coaster a lot better than it already is
A: a lot of inversions make this coaster only for those that seek thrills since the speed in this coaster isnt the best, but the inversions of the track make up for it really well
U: the layout isnt anything to brag about (tough it has some interesting points like the woobly track near the end) the combination of the tunnels and the scenery makes it really stand out from other coasters
R: it seems like it would be really expensive (specially for the tunnels) but its completly plausible for it to be built
This was probably the funnest Arrow looper ever built! The tunnels made the ride seem funner than it really is, and the elements were in good shape. Also, I cannot believe that you made the catwalks/handrails by hand!
And guess what the one spot that was hand done was? If you guessed the track-to-corkscrew arch supports, you've won...well, nothing really, but you got it right.
He didn't use wood supports converted to steel. He made a program that codes basically any type of support he wants to make, and every single support on this ride was completely tooled this way (except in a couple small places).
i didn't know how to right this track, but here it goes! the first thing i noticed was the very cool supports. i liked em! the track was very smooth, with only minimal banking changes in almost all the turns, but they were small. the triple corkscrews was good and made me dizzy! there was some good airtime, but after the corkscrews, the track seemed a little un-eventful. it began to get slow and boring after a while. not much to my likeing. there were some odd supports (wood to steel converter, i presume) which i do NOT like to see on a steel coaster. sorry, but those all should of been done by hand. the lines were small, but over all, it was a very nice ride and i enjoyed it. sorry about the Wood-to-Steel tool use, it shouldn't be used to do most of the steel supports, but i won't count off a lot for it...
Nice coaster,it's very unusual to see an arrow ride as good as it in nolimits,it is smooth,it has great supports,it has good airtimes, just some very minor bumps in transitions. It looks like "Viper" at SFGA. Good job.
this was awesome, really had that 'black hole' effect with the steel tubing enclosing the track. Excellent ride not to mention the name. I myself a HUGE fan of the BEST BAND IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. the 'boys from Toronto' put most rock musicians to shame. Take it from me, a drummer of 29 years and have studied Neil's fills by 16 concerts, bootleg CDs and videos, Oh I also have his A WORK IN PROGRESS instructional video and book, Ghost Rider which is excellent. Anyway I loved this ride. Not alot of Rush/coaster fans out there. Cool Beans!
I figure I should get this review in as this sounds like it's Tyler's last upload to this site. Too bad as I still feel this is the best NL exchange out there right now. I wish we all could just stop taking everything personal and have some fun with NL. Ole' never really intended this to be anything but a fun sim that gives us the designers freedom. Oh well.
T: I am not sure how any one, even gouldy, can say this is anything but at least a 9. The work on the supports and tunneling alone are impressive not to mention the perimeter fence que line. The track itself is smooth and has a realistic pumping effect that anyone who has ridden an Arrow ride would recognize.
A: The tunneling was a nice hand chopper effect for what was a pretty good layout. I have never cared for Arrow's smaller layouts(under 120') but this was a very nice one.
O: It had a nice combination of the traditional arrow elements with some extra air time hills and a few nice banked sections. Overall a good example of what Arrow might have done had they not lost so much ground to B&M in the early 90's.
Good unique coaster. Smooth all over. I especially liked the "rocky" section near the end, where the track banks back and forth. Nice touch. Tunnels were cool too.
T: A few jerks in some places, plus the corkscrews had some slight pumping (not too bad though) The main problem is smoothing a few parts of the ride. Also, the brakes and station weren't aligned.
A: Not bad, though might need some more speed in a few of those loops.
O: The scenery added to the ride but the terrain could've used more. Supporting was pretty good.
The layout was very realistic, it was definitely something Arrow would do, and you captured the feel of one very well. I didn't find the adrenaline to be as stunning as your other coasters though, it just didn't have that intense pacing from beginning to end like most of your other rides, but when creating a realistic Arrow coaster that isn't very easy to accomplish. It did have some very exciting parts though, such as those intense ejector hills, and the fast paced triple corkscrew.
Not as good as your other rides in my opinion, but still a good creation. Good job.
Nice tunneling gimmick ... lol. And yeah, the wood supports mixed in with the steel were pretty interesting to say the least -- pay attention to detail, Mister!! LOL
OK, onto better things. Arrow ... well, you certainly captured the essence here. From the "X" style supports to the plain all out roughness of transitions this captures it. Although, the tunneling business got a bit weary after a while, IMO. A flawless execution of an arrow design though, right down to the crappy OTSRs (lol) and sort of oddly paced adrenaline. In some places it seemed to just bore me to death - but then again that is just me and not a representation of the design here. Seriously, well done on this. Now, take a damn break cause I am wearing out my fingers rating your coasters!
T: well it was very, very smooth but some of the turns i felt were taken too quickly and therefore felt jerky (leaving the immelman). But it is an arrow coaster so im not expecting a smooth ride. Loved all of the custom supports, especially the tunnels and the stairs.
A: Adren kept up throughout all though i did find it a little broing right at the end.
O: well i personally havent seen a triple corkscrew (but there is one) and i loved the whole layout and story.
well done and keep building these brilliant coasters
