I uploaded this over at Coastersims.com a few days ago and seems to be doing succesful so I thought I might upload it here.
This is a rec. that I've been working on for a long time. SFGAdv is my home park so I am pretty sure I know what I am doing.
I've tried to get this exactly correct. The supports I think are near perfect. There are a couple parts of the track that are bumpy, mainly the track going into the MCBR. I have a mac so I cannot get the AHG or any other track enhancer program. So you are going to have to deal with the bumps, or fix them yourselves.
I do not have a 3DS program so I built all of the scenery myself with supports and stuff. The pavement is all individual footers. The Parachute towers queue is wrong but it was hard enough to make the real queue. The main GASM queue is a little off and shorter than the real one, but it was very time consuming to make. I did my best to add the photo booth on the exit path.
There are a couple parts of the ride that I am not happy with though that has been very annoying. The curve leading into the double vertical loops seems to big and it does not seems to have the correct elevation drop than on the real one. In real life those vertical loops and MCBR are A LOT lower than in this one. The infamous curve leading into the MCBR I could never get right and pulls some extreme laterals (That??????s true in real life too). Lastly, the train seems to go a little fast through the boomerang and went super fast through the corkscrews (That is why there is a block brake after the boomerang. The final curve also seems to be taken a little fast, but w/e.
Hello I have been working on my own version of the Scream Machine for the 30th time. It is finally finished and I hope you dont mind if I borrowed the wood plank idea.
I gave 8.5 technical because as you stated it is much higher than the real thing. Also the drop angle is more acute than the real thing and the double loops are to close to each other. 9 on adrenaline because it is the scream machine ya' gotta love it. 10 on originality because it is a recreation. PS:The scream machine is my all time favorite coaster.
great recreation. NNNOOOOOO!!! i just got confirmation that GASM has made its final run a month ago...first shockwave at SFGA now this...if six flags decides to do away with viper next, then i am boycotting all their parks....why do all the good arrow coasters have to go while the crappy ones remain in operation
If this isn't close enough to the real thing, then I don't know what is! The only thing that was a tiny bit off was the brakes coming out of the first loop before banking the left turn to the second and third loops. And also, the brakes coming out of the bowtie loop.Other than that, this was by far,one of the best coasters I've sampled. The only thing missing is the big sign over the start of the cue line. But hey, can't have everything. Excellent job on this!!!!!!
