I have been to a few waterparks in my day and some of those play areas can get pretty big.
the thing that gets me is are they going to open that area for another entrance into the waterpark. The normal entrance is in a very inconvenient spot, and the walkway is way too small for the amount of traffic it has at times. I believe there will be a new entrance between the kids area and the slides.

I unfortunately don't think there will be a new waterpark entrance because they recently released the 2015 park map, and it doesn't look like there's a new entrance.

Kinda hope that kids area gets expanded, it is quite small otherwise.

**I didn't link the image correctly, apologies, I'll add an image tomorrow*

The Breakers Plunges are coming in now. Those are gonna be some tall slides lol. Also, new pavement coming in. Gosh I really wish they would plant the entrance right there, but VF15 makes a point. The maps might not get drawings perfect but they would never place an entrance incorrectly.

I hate the place they put the slide tower. It towers over a fairly main intersection of the park, I feel it will create a huge shady area and have a constant rain coming down from above. Maybe its because I am not a water person and am not thrilled about this expansion.

You don't like shade? I don't see why that would be a bad thing and it's not like water will be dripping on you.

I don't have anything to say to you, but if you're upset about a structure being too tall at an amusement park, you're probably not looking for the same things most amusement-park-goers are.

A 90 foot structure isn't going to create its own rain system.

Those big white tubes are now showing up closer to the slide tower. Now I'm not so sure that they are part of the splash pad structure. :?

I love the colors on the slide. Too bad Corkscrew still looks like what it looks like.

Meh, I've done taller. I'm more worried about the seams of the slide pieces. As long those are smoothened out, I'm fine. :)

This is one of the reasons I don't go to SFNE's park anymore. All the slides have rough seams and just aren't enjoyable at all.

It's the same issue on all Carnival Cruises. The body slides are fun, but the seams are rough, so they are extremely painful.

That's why concrete slides are better than all others. They really need to return to that.

I certainly hope these slides will be smooth because the old speed slides are quite rough. Well, the drop itself is fine, but the landing has a lot of headbanging.

^They are inherently a more comfortable splash because of the cupped splash zone, rather than the flat square splash zone in the other drop slides. It became very obvious to me that cupped splash pools are extremely tolerable after riding Point of No Return at Noah's Ark. This is the reason I'm so excited for the Plunges.

I'm also thinking the seams will be smooth. I rode the trapdoor tube slides that are similar to this deck at SFGAm, and they were a little "seamy," but the slides that don't have enclosed tubes should be smooth.

I noticed on the waterpark section of the park's website that both the speed slides and the trapdoor slides are only a 4 out of 5 on the thrill rating scale. I find that confusing because these slides look more thrilling than anything else in Soak City. :?
