Helios is a B&M hyper coaster themed to the Greek personification of the Sun. The ride features loads of airtime and a unique non-inverting Immelmann loop turnaround element. With Helios, I am really trying to hone my skills with B&M rides, like making that little pop of airtime as you crest a hill, keeping the lateral G???s in check, and of course having a glass smooth track. I believe this is among my smoothest rides to date.
As always, I hand-built this ride, not using any 3rd party tools like Newton, AHG, FVD, etc. The only tools used are the track smoothing options available in NL2.
Please rate and comment (constructive comments only) and, of course, Enjoy!
Technically the ride had a few issues as a lot fo the track felt mishapen. For isntance there was a weird kink in the first drop, and several of the airtime hills were pumpy which resulted in a inconsistant experience. Also FYI back seat pulled -1.8 towards the end.
That said there were some nice layout ideas and the supportwork was good.
