28 years after Crystal Beach in Ontario, Canada closed, a new owner purchased the old Crystal Beach property and refurbished the park with two new rollercoasters and two new flat rides. One of the coasters, Cyclone: Resurgence, is a Gravity Group remake of the original Cyclone that was known to be incredibly intense. The other, Vampire Bat, is the first of its kind in North America, a Bolliger and Mabillard family invert.
STATS:
~Cyclone Resurgence~
Track length: 2758 ft Ride Time: 1m 33 sec Height: 110 ft Top Speed: 52 mph Max G Force: +4.2 / -1.1
~Vampire Bat~
Track Length: 1787 ft Ride Time: 1m 5 sec Height: 93 ft Top Speed: 47 mph Max G Force: +2.7 / -0.8
Both these rides were vastly undersupported - try and work on getting a greater desnity of supports for the invert and some better lateral bracing on the woodie.
The woodie was also heartlined too much, and didn't provide any deliberate laterals to make the ride feel out of control - it rode far too much like a steel coaster which is problematic due to woodies not being able to sustain as much force (another issue) because this causes the wood to warp much quicker and quickly kill the ride off.
The surrounding area was nicely done however and I thought the idea was nice.
