Hellhound is a GCI wooden twister coaster. My goal with this ride is to make a wholly realistic, perfectly executed (to the best of my abilities), GCI. This is a ride with tons of twists and turns, loads of airtime, a focus on low to the ground elements, and a layout that wraps around itself multiple times. Hellhound is a coaster I can conceivably see being built in any amusement park looking for a new twisted wooden coaster.
As always, I hand-built this ride, not using any 3rd party tools like Newton, AHG, FVD, etc. The only tools used are the track smoothing options available in NL2.
Please rate and comment (constructive comments only) and, of course, Enjoy!
This didn't really feel like a GCI to me, it lacked good laterals and snappy transitions asnd the pacing felt a bit of the casual side. The entire thing felt too heartlined and too banked and missing all the little trackwork oddities you get with GCI layouts. I think your ride felt too fluid, and whilst GCI's defnitely have good pacing and flow (to use a far too similar word) the trackwork is not fluid.
It's annoying because I think if you'd nailed the shaping the layout would've worked much better in my opinion.
