Sasquatch is a second generation B&M inverted roller coaster featuring four inversions following the 45m first drop.
Foxtrot Amuesment Park (named after the river bisecting the park) got its name on the map when Arrow Dynamics introduced Bigfoot, a multi-looping roller coaster. The ride has seen better days and the park owner/manager wanted something to excite his guests and to pay homage to the ride that was many a childhood favorite. With the mid-course brake run supports being those that stood the test of time the best, they were retrofitted for the new inverted roller coaster, and modified to allow riders to pass through, just narrowly missing their feet!
Please enjoy your ride on Sasquatch, and look forward to the release of Bigfoot, the Drachen Fire inspired Arrow Dynamics roller coaster!
*any scenery (besides the path and those that came with the simulator) were downloaded from the steam workshop **this is my first time packaging and sharing a NL2 file, so if there are any issues, please let me know through PM!
Technique:10- the supports, trackwork, layout and everything that seems to lay in between came together beautifully. Adrenaline:9.75- Missing a .25 point because I feel the ride was missing something. Maybe a trench, or a close call to the river. Uniqueness:9- This definitely is what you wanted it to be! It is not totally unique and that is just ok. It did what it was supposed to do and a 9 is a terrific score for this category. Realism:10- All the way a 10! The elements, the execution, scenery and more in depth ride area, the old coaster track reused to help excite the new roller coaster, all just amazing. Rider Value:9.75- Honestly, if this was a real roller coaster, it would be my 2nd all time favorite inverted coaster. Montu from Busch Gardens takes the crown, but comparing it to Montu and coming in right behind it, is a compliment. This ride is a jewel.
Really awesome coaster, technically fantastic, paced really well and the surround scenery was really really good. It did feel a little long to not have a MCBR / psudo MCBR.
Technique: This ride was clearly made with FVD and I guess also your smoothing technique because this ride was buttery smooth! I'm also impressed with how close this was to the shaping and forces on real B&M coasters. Very well done!
Adrenaline: Nice set of elements and you had some pretty strong positive G's throughout the ride. The floater airtime hill under the mcbr was a nice touch. B&M does seem to amp their intensity a bit lately by introducing some ejector airtime on their rides (I know Fenix and Baron have this) and I feel like you could have introduced some as well. Especially in hill under the MCBR. Seeing this was styled like an older coaster though, I understand why you went with floater airtime. Overall though I think it was a good forceful ride that didn't loose any pacing until the end. Well done!
Uniqueness: This looks like your typical B&M coaster without too many special elements and therefor there's not much uniqueness to the track itself. Although I do like the setting of the ride and the backstory of Bigfoot (I'm looking forward what you'll be doing with that).
Realism: The very thing that brings down the uniqueness score amps the realism one. You came so close to accurately representing a B&M inverted coaster, it's great! Also I would like to praise the fact that you went out of your way to create so many intricate details around the coaster like the lifthill structure and the track sensors made out of supports! Those are great little touches that add so much! One point of critique though, right before you enter the station building, there's a patch of dirt on the queueline. I got my feet all dirty .
Rider Value: Again, I think some ejector airtime would have been nice but setting personal taste aside this is definitly a star attraction to any park and one that I would ride over and over!
