This is a very good, and I would go so far as to say, an excellent recreation of El Toro. I know how difficult it is to make a computer version of a real coaster. In the first place, you have to know the exact dimensions of the ride you are trying to duplicate which in most cases is nearly impossible, especially for older roller coasters because the blueprints and the stats for these rides have long been lost. One way I determine how high a hill on an old coaster is to count the number of spaces between the horizontal 2x6's on the side of the structure. They are usually spaced six (6) feet apart. Knowing that, you can get a good idea of the height of each hill. Well, back to your model of El Toro. I was blown away then you included the sound of the underfriction wheels as the train topped the first two high hills!!!!! I wasn't expecting that, for sure. Next, I checked all your G forces and they all were spot on. 4 G's in the dips and nearly 2 G's over the tops of the hills. Personally, I would never ride El Toro because the ride is too extreme for me. I'm 78 years old and I know my body would not like the punishment it would take while riding such a ride. I found a very good description of El Toro on Youtube, can't remember the name of the person, but he always starts his videos by saying, "You might be lame if you don't appreciate what I'm going to say" or something like that. He starts off by saying he was a ride operator of the ride, Wl Toro, and he's ridden it many many times. So I take his opinion very highly. First off, he says the ride is not as smooth as it once was when it was new. I know that is correct because I used to maintain a wooden roller coaster. Wood, after several years starts to lose its strength and starts to sag between the ledgers, giving the riders a bumpy ride. The only way you can prevent this is to place more ledgers under the track and make the track with more layers of wood. But some riders like a rough ride so they would not like a well built coaster. Well, back to my evaluation of your ride. Like i said all your G forces were perfect, IMHO, and I think you did a fantastic job in recreating this ride. I've never been to Six Flags in New Jersey sut I've seen videos of El Toro on Youtube. Since I've never ridden El Toro and don't expect to, this might lessen my evaluation of your model. But your model is good enough for me. The only thing that I would like to have seen would be other things in the park like tables, trees and stuff like that Maybe some other rides if they are nearby El Toro. Thank you for uploading El Toro. It's definitely one of my favorite sims.
