I know a lot of us are more into coasters than waterparks but have you done a waterslide memorable enough to be a personal favorite?
The major one I can think of at the moment is Deep Water Dive at Hurricane Bay waterpark. It's kinda like if a waterpark decided to install something equivalent to a drop tower. It's one of those trapdoor slides where the door closes and there's a countdown. "3...2...1...launch!" The slide is so steep it feels kinda like free fall, and getting over the awkward feeling of "I'm soon going to have absolutely nothing below my feet" is quite slow. Oh, and right before the countdown there's a heartbeat sound.
IDK why but for some reason I get a good vibe from the line, and the ride op looks like he/she is having fun. Maybe because I tend to think of the line as "the few, the proud, the ones who didn't chicken out before getting to the top." It's also fun to watch the occasional funny reactions of the people who drop before me. I feel like if they ever put Chang back in its original spot I would miss this slide but I wouldn't miss the tedious climb to the top.

Right now it's Raging Rapids at Valleyfair. A concrete dug white water "slide" with giant inner tubes, and it has some small waterfalls at the beginning with lots of rapids. It's completely unique. But the Breaker's Plunge might give it a run, considering its sheer height.

Closest thing I've been on to a waterslide are the natural waterslides at Ohiopyle State Park

(not me in the video, haha)

Let me think...
What was my last time I was on a water slide.
I can't even remember when, where and how it was :(
Hope I some days visit a water park :)

^^ Every slide would send me to try! Race down from a high spot or make a loop for a thrill factor! :)

I'm not that experienced with waterslides, but I'd say that the trapdoor slides (Breakers Pipeline) at Valleyfair are my all-time favorites. Very intense and amazing despite some roughness.

Point of no return @ Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells. There was also an indoor natural-spring water park nearby that had some amazingly intense slides, but I forget the name of it. If anyone could remind me that would be great.

Edit: Here's an image:

I personally prefer non-trapdoor slides if they involve a steep drop. There is nothing like slowly being pushed over the edge of that drop.

Edit 2: My memory was really messed up, I was thinking of Evan's Plunge in South Dakota as the natural springs park. The outdoor slide they had was kind of insane.

It literally just drops you into that tight helix.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I think he was talking about the Evans plunge one, but yeah. It's as close as I've come to tunnel-vision on a water slide, it must pull at least 3.5 gs.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Wonder how many g's the rider feels on a typical waterslide. 3.5g's sound pretty intense like the coaster's first drop! :) G-spike at the tightest turn or continuous g's in that helix?

Its a REALLY tight helix. It probably spikes at 3.5 when it goes horizontal and sustains 2.9, though those are just my estimates.

haha that's an interesting design coasterdude2001. Never seen a slide quite like that with a single tightening triple helix. I like it.

Slosprint, that slide reminds me of a rough draft for Peppermint Twist which used to be at Water Country USA in Virginia, seen here sans third slide:

Also anyone who used to love Lemon Drop would appreciate this picture I happened to find:

A third slide (I always thought there used to be one in between the two when I rode, given the spacing), and check the first one on the right

Wait, does that just dump you into the pool vertically? Seems more practical just to have a high dive board lol.

Hmmm... My favorite waterslide. That's a tough one actually because I'd usually prefer fun waterslides over the "extreme" slides. My top of favorites would exist for the biggest out of body slides. Those give you enough freedom to play around with and create your own intensity on a slide.
Among the top would be the Family and Super Slide in Duinrell. The yellow slide in the Hengelhoef. Mach5 slides in Wet 'n wild and the blast at the same park. I'm probably forgetting a ton more of extremely fun slides but I'll probably post those later when I remember them. :)

Also this on the right slide gets a special note from me:

Those little humps at the start of the slide are crazy enough to send you properly airborn

Hehe, seen plenty of those type of slides:

This one is interesting yet frighting because you can create some extra speed before dropping down. I've had as a kid that I'd almost overshot the pool.

My favorite is Black Anaconda at Noah's Ark. Scorpion's Tail is fun but you kind of crawl through that loop. I prefer the Aqualoop at the Wilderness.
