Need comp help

I am thinking about buying a new computer soon.My questons are dose anybody game on the new core duo 2 pross..The comp. I have now has a dual core prossessor.I can ply games like nl with no problems.
My comp. specs, Intel pentium D 3.0 pross.Gforce 6800 256 meg
video card,2 gigs of 667 ram,7200 rpm hd,and is made by dell.
The new comp is made by dell,specs-intel core duo 2.4 gig pross. ,2 gigs of 667 ram,2Gforce 7900 256 meg video cards,160 gig 10,000 rpm hd.
I am sure it will be faster but will the core duo 2 be better than my penteum D.I also have heard that the gforce 7900 has some problems. Thanks
