Well, tonight I was at the release of Leopard at my local Apple store. Any other Mac users have plans to get Leopard?

I might post my review on it when I get it installed.

I was just about to post this. I really like the idea of Time Machine but I am kind of biased to Windows.

I think it's cool, but I'm gonna hold off for a while. I'm confortable with 10.4.10.1.4.5.6.7.8.9.1.2.3.6

So its not even a new version? Going from 10.4.whatever to .5 and it gets a new name and all this praise? Remember that updates that dont update the first number are basically just that - an update. For all the crap Ive seen, read and heard I figured it was a fully new version - ya know, like 11.0. Seeing as though its only an update of the current system with some new stuff and a new name - Im disappointed. Apple knows how to market, but for all the hype it seems kind of lame when its basically a .1 update.

I'm going with Real, it's a .1 update. I'm happy with 10.4, I'm not going to update for 119 dollars to an new version with things that I don't really need.
buttersafe is extremely funny

They also come with innumerable problems and errors, and throw your system off when you might have finally found a balance to stablize your machine.

It's not a .1 update, it's got over 300 new features added to it.

More than you can say for Vista. Why fix it when it ain't broken?

Then why is Apple fixing it?

Oh and I don't know why everyone thinks windows machines are so unstable. For real, I leave my cpu on for months at a time and it has never crashed, ever.

Huh? They didn't.. they added a crudload of new features and a new desktop, but it's still based on Tiger.

There's more reason to add an update than to just load on features.

And Woodie, have you been watching those mac commercials again?

I like the free updates lol. I don't care if they're of slightly lesser quality or whatever garbage you want to argue, they're chuffing free.

I haven't been watching the commercials so much as speaking from my own experience. Every PC I've ever owned has had problems.

Hah. Ever since people assumed Mac took its place as the big time computer manufacturing company, Windows was never looked on the same again. It's funny, Mac used to be a loser company, with Windows at an all time high but for some odd reason, people appeal to Mac more because their systems look better and have cooler names. There are SO many featurettes of Windows systems that could scrub the nasty-ass bathroom floors with Mac that many people don't realize. It's just the outside that sucks people in. Obviously, the people that seek so much about Macs don't care too much about the inside of their OS...

I never really understood this argument, and how people go on and on about how unstable Windows is. Other than the unfortunate Windows ME, I've NEVER had a problem with stability. The rare times that I've had problems were generally caused by me, NOT Windows.
