NL help

ok, after 3 years I finally got NL working but now I have a problem, When I load up any track, And when it goes near a station It lags horribly! can anyone help me??

What kind of graphics card do you have?

Graphics card, memory & processor speed, resolution, reflections & detail quality.... Try changing tracks to have only one train, and turn scenery off?

set everything on low quality and set somthing on OFF(shadow,scenery,etc)

If you have windows vista than is thease maybe a reason, becouse vista takes a lot of memory for it self. Try with xp.

Ok I have XP (Thank Christ) and I am going set everything on low. but I may have to look at my graphics card and have my uncle (he's a computer expert) hook me up with a new one!


Ok now I did it and nothing! it still lags whenever i go near the station or a train! BTW I have version 1.55

My old computer basically came to a halt with multiple trains running... You're probably going to need an updated graphics card. Until then, run with just 1 train unless you're doing e-check work, in which case you just need to be able to see where other trains are...

It sounds like you're gonna need a new graphics card. Or more memory, a better processor, or something. I'd start with graphics card. I recently updated my graphics card to an nVidia GeForce 6200 512 MB PCI card, which cost me something like 60 bucks, and it runs my rides great. I also have a gig of RAM, but that cost me only another 20 bucks. So getting decent framerates isn't that expensive, if you do some research. Good luck!

Even just updating the graphics drivers should help somewhat. Make and model would help.

I run it on a mac OSX Leopard, and it works amazingly, even with complicated wooden support structures. Try closing out other programs, check for updates, and mess around with settings. I'm sure you can get it to work.

Sorry for the bump but I finally got a new graphics card! but I had to reinstall the game AGAIN and now I have a really old version, 1.262. No limits.com dosent help me at all!!! how do I get 1.55 back?

What do you mean "NoLimits.com" doesn't help? Make sure you go to http://www.nolimitscoaster.com/, go to downloads and select "Update (full version only)" for Windows or Mac.

I've had NL for 3 years now and when I purchased it (in 2007) at the full $29.95 price, they sent me the latest version 1.71. How do you have only 1.55? Seems a bit strange. Especially if you had 1.55, reinstalled it, how would it change to 1.262?

Easiest solution would be a repurchase. I run a ATI Radeon X1900 with under a Gig of Memory. Yes, I can only use 600x800 resolution, but it works fine for my dinosaur PC.
