Got a hold of some pictures of the morning after the big blizzard. I live around 45 minutes from Chicago and the really bad portion of the storm missed my apartment. My sister is in Chicago and they got absolutely raped by it. Consider these pictures the "low-end" of what that storm could do.

The pictures dealing with a door are from my friend Caitlyn's apartment where her landlord is probably regretting not fixing the door that she has been reporting every week since October.

Anyways enjoy:

How screwed one is seems to be dependent on the wind direction. There are areas with 7-8ft tall snowdrifts, and areas where the grass is poking through. Front door of my apartment was pretty unaffected while we have 8ft of snow piles against the back windows lol (I'm in the snowdrift in one of those pictures)

That same storm gave me an inch and a half of ice to clean up.

I only got like an inch of ice and a foot of snow. I was expected to get 2 feet of snow. *phew*

On another note, I LOOOOVED how the news stations were advising everybody to get bread, milk, eggs, and candles like it was a matter of life and death or something. I really makes me want to punch babies these love are so retarded.

No one wants to be stuck in a power outage with nothing but microwaved dinners.

I'm down with that. But milk, eggs, and bread is retarded. Just get your regular grocery list it's not that complicated.

So true. How will I ever deal with this 65 degree clear weather in the Bay Area?

I enjoy the fact that it will be -2 in the morning, the sidewalks are all ice, a lot of roads are still snowed in, my cars are stuck in the driveway and my district is the only one in the whole love county to not yet cancel classes yet.

EDIT: Never mind that's the third day I'm off this week.

We got pretty much all rain over here in New Concord, OH. It just changed over to snowing this morning, and we've only gotten about 1/2 in.

We were originally forecasted to get 16-20 inches of snow, but we ended up getting about 8 inches of solid ice pellets/sleet with a few more inches of snow on top. Basically its the same amount of moisture but more condensed. That SUCKED to shovel, especially since I shoveled multiple driveways. It's great for getting your car stuck though, since it doesn't really get smaller when packed. But honestly, I love winter. And not just because I got out of school all week.
