It's not that bad?! The Dragon at Ocean Park is way worse and I think that was a Ron Toomer creation (the man famous for never riding anything he designed). Kind of explains a lot  . Here's the best picture I could find that shows the transitions http://cache.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/p10656.jpg

Looks like the hypercoasters are gonna win this one 'cause they're all about the first drop. On that I'd go for the Big One at Blackpool. Especially when the tide is in! Probably gonna get shouted down for saying it but I think the Vekoma Boomerangs have awesome first drops. The slow pull backwards ...

The Big Dipper is a registered landmark? As far as I know the only listed Rollercoaster in the UK is The Scenic Railway at Dreamland Margate, which has currently recieved a grant from English Heritage to rebuild due to its listed status. Sometimes some of the attractions in Blackpool have been thoug...

Their bars that don't make that clicking sound when they go down. They are locked by electrics under the track in the station. When they lock and unlock it makes a buzzing sound.

The standard SLC with extra heliex is classed as a custom, but there must be a few of thoose around. Perhaps they're custom because they were made to the parks specifications?

^That's a little harsh <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->. Apparently Roller Coasters old trains are fairly light and so Dippers new heavier trains might make the ride quite a bit more lively. I don't just ride Roller Coaster for the ...

Blackpool's Roller Coaster to receive new trains

... Or should I say new, old trains. The Roller Coaster will be receiving excess trains off the Big Dipper for the 2008 season. The remaining cars off the Dipper have already being moved onto the tracks and have been rattling their way around. They have received a new lick of red paint and we say go...

Look good trains, but I can imagine there would be a bit of discomfiort when reversing up the first incline, when all your weight is resting on the restraints.
