Always love it though, its got a completely different atmosphere and personality to most theme parks, you dont feel like your hemmed in its grounds, yet at the same time you feel intimatly close to the structures, theres always some...

as much as i hate complainers, i think restrictions at Alton towers have done the park a great service in forcing it to come up with creative rides. Its too easy to use height as a selling factor and then produce just 'another' coaster that you could find anywhere.

I was personally expecting to see a list of "rules" when opening this thread, like the top ten dos and donts of NL design. at least that would have been remotely useful.

Aside from restrictions, i think one reason in UK/EU parks focus on getting rides that are smaller but more unusual is because coaster enthusiasts will (and do) travel to US just to ride the giants. There's no point a UK park trying to tap into this market when its already dominated. (particularly a...

Good post Austin, I normally pay flamingo land a visit once a year and am looking forward to this providing its construction has been on schedule.

I assume this has replaced the plans for a woodie that was origionally in the pipeline according to the park owners in 2007/8

Hi. I'm not technically new, I started using this site about 3 years ago, but forgot about it. Only just got back to using NL again (seem to have forgotten my skills) so hopefully in a wee while will be able to contribute once more.
