Growing up as a kid, my dad's punishment back then would be considered child abuse today. I suppose he was trying to teach me a lesson but in today's society, it's a bit extreme. My sister & her husband have not once touched their kids and both are growing up as well mannered, caring kids. Parenting...

Probably a good idea since people are too preoccupied to actually DRIVE their car like talking on the cell phone, adjusting the radio, watching DVD's reading the paper, sleeping, etc.
