Thanks for the comments, guys.

1975 With such a successful first season, the Fairfield family were very pleased with Adventure City, and decided to move ahead with expansion plans. Debuting in 1975 is Land of the Lost , a whole new section of the park. The area is home to three family attractions, including a world-class log flu...

While I'm just starting this park, I thought I would go ahead and post it here to get some buzz and early feedback. Fahrenheit was pretty disappointing, IMO. The hype surrounding the coaster was huge, and the layout looked to be pretty insane...but the ride wasn't. Fun? Yes. Overrated? Definitely.

Pilgrims Plunge really is a fun ride! I got to experience it in the front seat with the show water on AND off...I like the ride much better with it off, as you could actually keep your eyes open when going down the drop. The elevator lift wasn't quite as terrifying as I thought it would be, but it s...

UGH. I guess you can call your first wildcard, because I'm going to drop out. I just finished my entire track layout, but then realized that my vertical lift took place in the blue box (which, I soon realized, had a max. height requirement.) I've tried everything possible to move the entire track so...

^I have some advice that has helped me. Click on the most banked vertex on that element and look towards the top right of the editor. If the banking is less than 155*...it should be fine. Right? Oh and hyyyper, regarding the supports in the dark green area, you may want to clear that up a bit. I don...

^I agree. Would you please allow them in, or at least DQ the people who should have been DQ'd and let the next people advance? I would just like to have a fair contest, and it is obvious at this point that the complaining will not cease until the people who strongly believe they should move on...mov...

^^Could you lay off, man? I'm sure if hyyyper didn't like your ride as well, there was a perfectly good reason for it. (Like the fact that your layout consisted of nothing but double-ups/downs.)

May I ask why it would need to be shut down for a couple of months?

^^In that situation, there is still a great chance of failing the e-stop test. Is there no slope to that first brake run at all?

A few more AHG questions...

-What is the standard heartline for an X-car coaster?

-How do I make sure the banking on the first/last segment of track is 0*? (I color it black, but the track still banks...GRR)

DEFINITELY make the trip out to KI! I travel 3.5 hours to it every year, and have a blast each time!

It's got 13 coasters, including at least 4 solid ones, and many GREAT flats!

While giving his keynote speech at the ACE banquet, Mark Shapiro let it slip that Magic Mountain would be getting a new wooden GCI coaster next year. He said it would be themed to the movie "Terminator Salvation".
