I just want to say that I am so upset about this. I understand that some people are saying it's not the world's best ride and I agree, but like others have mentioned... it's such a classic coaster with so much history and lays on a perfect spot of land for it as well as a great interaction with scen...
Been working on this for a little while, also been working on an Intamin Plug n' Play but I put that aside for a bit to do some work on this. http://i796.photobucket.com/albums/yy243/zacattack1104/Bathophobia2-090713134708000-1.jpg?t=1247510787 http://i796.photobucket.com/albums/yy243/zacattack1104/...
Ugh I don't mean to sound like a TOTAL idiot by asking to clarify, but I haven't put this much time into a NL coaster in a while... so, basically, use the "simple support" auto and add my own bracing to the turn around/helixes/whatever, plus any other fixing up I need to do?
What is the acceptable protocol for woodie supports? Auto supports OK+Custom headchoppers/whatever is appropriate? I have a plug n' play up and testing and being modified... getting there. Also, I don't know if this is the appropriate place to ask-- but any testers would be great! (Sorry, I've been ...
Never been on it, but so far it looks good from a purely aesthetic point of view. I can't give you votes on accuracy, but seems like excellent progress.
Is B&M going to make these anymore? I'm not always on the up and up with new rides being built, but have they made a standard looping coaster (not floorless, or a dive machine, or a mega etc.) since Wildfire at Silver Dollar City in 2001? I guess some people don't find these so thrilling, but I thin...
I need to start putting my thoughts into one single post, and you may call shenanigans on this as well, but I personally always FEEL more negs in the way front than in the way back on El Toro, although I think that might be partially mental from the visual of flying over those first two hills at a p...
Yeah, that's what I've done- the first drop pulls -1.5 in the back, that's totally unavoidable no matter how much tiny tiny little shaping changes I made, but I guess that's fine.... and the rest are within -1.1-1.3 at strongest (or less on one or two hills that aren't meant to eject, per se)
I figured it out- and by the way, THANK YOU, that picture was a giant help-works exactly right now. Also, I should know this better, but while I'm not doing a recreation, any chance you know the negs on ET? for reference....
Oh hey, look at that. You're totally right. I've actually never ever seen that photo and haven't been to the park since May for a good look. thanks a ton. I guess then, the addendum to that question, is how can I possibly fit the whole layout in there? It's already tight with two airtime hills after...
Looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL. And if you ask me, it does look like a slightly "Modified" cobra roll, at least for B&M. Compared to like, Aplengeist (especially) and a lot of their other rides, it's a bit flatter/wider IMO. But looks great nonetheless!
I'm working on a new woodie in NL than in life would be an Intamin Plug n' Play. My home park is SFGadv and at least there, on El Toro, the cars are 6 cars per train x three rows each, which ends up in a pretty long train. Building the ride, I'm having a huge issue with the disparity between negativ...
1) Do any of you Mac users use bootcamp? I know this question has been beaten to death, but since I have another topic or two to address I felt the need to re-ask. I really wanted to install a PC OS so I can use some tools, but if the tools aren't worth the trouble of bootcamp, I'm going to forgo it...
All right, so this might not be easy to explain verbally for anyone who answers but.... I'm a mac user and have been toiling endlessly on a new track and no matter how hard i work by hand and use command-G to at least guide me, there are a ton of little jerks I'm having problems working out. Any oth...
Oh I feel the need to make an addendum to my post... Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFGAdv (and I guess the others, but I can't speak for them as I haven't ridden then) is kind of a crap fest. Yes, it's fun, but in a pretty "this is a novelty" way. Not to mention it is almost never worth the wait, whi...
I sooooo agree with Batman: The Dark Night at SFGAdv. I wish they had just kept Batman and Robin. Even though I knew what was to be expected with that kind of ride being put it, coupled with the disappointment of losing The Chiller it was just that much worse. As for big coaster, Son of Beast no dou...
Originally posted by cooliocody12 As long as they provide the same insane thrill doesnt matter! Amen! And I would probably say TTD even though SFGAdv is my home park, but you can't beat the fact that you can see all of Philadelphia from the top of KK on a clear day. (Gotta look quick! [;)]) It's a ...
