Made a roller coaster with 8 inversions and fitting inside the space with FVD++. The last loop is kind of lame but there wasn't too much space... Just to advise that the date limit is september 20. Designs must be posted on this forum. I have a layout, it's definately not the best but it's still good for my second roller coaster. EDIT : also just saw this : <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://forum.coastercrazy.com/comments.php?Discuss...

Yes, the red areas are for pathways. But you can have 3DS anywhere as long as they are not used as supports.

RideWarriorNation : I haven't changed the template so it's all good. trillsentertainment : I know, the space is pretty small, I've tried myself doing a layout, it's not bad but it could be better. I'm glad to see someone trying out the contest. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" ...

CKidd : ah ok, I thought he was talking about the ones on the lift hill. You can put your own pathways on the X's.

A.S.C : the catwalks are the same as supports and track : they need to be higher than 7 meters from the ground.

Any suggestion is appreciated to make this contest better.

A.S.C : yes you can, as long as the .3DS objects are 7 meters higher from the ground in the red areas.

KrazyKoasterKid : I can do that.

Bottom_Feeder_13 : I drop down the time limit to one month. Two months is too much anyway. ;)

Also posted a mirror for people that the dropbox link doesn't work.

cjd : I wasn't too sure with the judging aspects after all. I guess I'd just leave it to Technical/Adrenaline/Originality. The rating system seems also more appropriate too. Every participant must vote for each entry now. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" />...

mkingy : Thanks for the suggestions. I've put a track height limit of 50 meters and length of 1100 meters.

EDIT - also changed the one than more entry permitted to only one entry for the judges (didn't think of that at first).

AmatsuNL : Modified the lift angle, I didn't know it was 40 degrees. Yes, tools are allowed (Newton 2, etc). Same as KingRCT 3, I felt that the ending could get rid of one helix. I think it is one of the best hyper I've seen in No Limits, even if it's not very tall. Amazing job on the station, I love the arches. Also, your roller coaster is very realistic in terms of ride duration since it's pretty similar...

[NoLimits] UN-Official launched Intamin contest

La Ronde member of Six Flags park wants to add a new thrilling experience to their park as they are lacking of roller coasters. Unfortunately, since the park is located on St-Helen's island, it is running out of space. However, some of their roller coasters are not aging too well such as "Cobra" and...

I might enter this contest, but I'm not quite sure on what is supposed to be a wingrider. Is it like X-Flight?

I guess I'll take mkingy's method as it seems to be the easiest. About the friction discussion, I'm quite sure that Vekoma rails have a lower friction coefficient than B&M rails because all the rides I've ridden by B&M are a lot smoother than the ones made by Vekoma. Am I correct? Also, I'm quite cu...

Newton 2 : any tip for the smoothness?

Hi there, I'd like to know some tips you guys use when testing a roller coaster made with Newton 2. Sometimes, Newton 2 says that the element is smooth but in No Limits there are some times that the forces go in the red (while Newton 2 says otherwise). Are there any trick to prevent this? Also, I'd ...

Tracksix's coaster is a definitive win for me. Lot of tunnels, amazing coaster beginning and the ride remained smooth all the time. yoshi's coaster was also fine, but I thought it wasn't as innovative as tracksix. Nice bridge though and I like the launched lift hill even if it's not standard for a s...
