I'm using DirectX 8 for the 3d engine. I know there are much renderings, but there are also some screens of the editor, which shows the engine loading some models. Well, if I make everything high detailed, you should have a pc with 10 Ghz, and I don't think anyone of us has one[;)]. Every game has low poly models, and imagine, you have a darkride with doombuggies, then you have 300 of those cars+theming, sounds etc. That's eating memory[:p]
