Re: What's the craziest thing to ever happen to you on a rid

Two things. I was working at LeSourdsville Lake Amusement Park, a.k.a. Americana, on the roller coaster, Space Rocket, a.k.a. Screechin' Eagle. Before my shift ended and I was to go home, I took one last ride on the Space Rocket to see if everything was OK. I hopped into the front seat of the last c...

Glad you're back. I just checked your Dips coaster. I would like to see some of your wooden NL2 coasters.

Yes, I agree Oscar. We have to keep our prioities in mind. First the taxes and rent and if anything is left over, which is very little, then we can have a little fun with NL2.

Thanks TylerE and Ride Op for those size statistics. I was thinking about the Sidhue suspension bridge or the Aizhai suspension bridge Cool5. I think the Sidhue is the world's highest but the Aizhai is pretty awesome also and both are in China. With a height of 1,640 feet to work with, the Sidhue or...

I've seen a few complaints about spending $100 on NL2. Let's just see what $100 bucks really is. At minimum wage here in the good old USA, say $8.00 an hour to make the calculations easy, 100 smakaroos is equivalant to 12 and 1/2 hours of labor. Fill up your gas tank in your automobile twice and you...

I apologize if my question has already been answered. I've been reading most of the posts here but I haven't seen the dimensions of the work environment of NL2. NL1 had a height of 150 meters and a square area of 440 meters. What's the area in NL2?

I think the key to running NL2 properly would be a modern video card, not the processor. I don't know too much about computers but I know that the AGP video slot on motherboards will not run NL2. You need a motherboard that has the PCI Espress video card slot. Here's the video card I have: EVGA bran...

Here are some of the things I've noticed about the new NL-2 wood coasters: There are 8 layers of wood in the track now instead of 7. Most real wood coasters now have at least 8 layers. In NL-2 you can see the individual boards in the track, or see the joint between the boards. In NL-2 you can see th...

I really like the improvements they made with the wooden coaster. But there's something that has always puzzled me. I started seeing these steel cables run through the 4x6 bent post just below the handrail on some newer roller coasters. And now I see them in NO LIMITS 2. What purpose do they serve? ...

The Standard Version of NL-2 only has a maximum resolution of 720 x 526
The Pro Version has a maximum of 1920 x 1080

That's reason enough for me to go PRO.

I would also love to see the old National Amusement Device trains too Jayman. And with headlights that come on during the night!! But I don't think that is going to happen but maybe they will do it with an add-on update later. I think Kennywood still runs NAD trains on their Thunderbolt roller coast...

I can't wait to do a tunnel and a splash down with NL-2 and there's this Sidu suspension bridge in China which is over 1000 feet high.

Like most of you already said, we can now concentrate more on creativity instead of a few minor pumps here and there. My favorite roller coaster designer was Herbert Schmeck of the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. He designed the Shooting Star at Coney Island in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Wild Cat at Lakes...

I about fell out of my chair laughing when I saw that hole in the bridge. LOL Maybe with that track swivel in NL-2 you could push a button a take your choice of which track you like best. And I hope Architect is correct about the 2.7 miles diagonal distance in NL-2. Wow! That is awesome! I've been o...

Hey! Don't give me any new ideas. It's bad enough that I have this obsession with the New River Brigde in West Virginia. LOL Let's see, could it be possible to put the track next to the CATWALK under the bridge so the Catwalkers could see the train whizz by? LOL

I have a question. Maybe some of you will know the answer to this one. I surely don't. How come we males always refer to our cars as "SHE"? Like, "Ain't she cute?"

Let's see now ... with NL2 coming out, and with the bigger environment, I'll have to expand and raise my New River Bridge to around 900 feet high. Wonder what the speed on my steel coaster will be with a 900 foot drop? Edit: Just Joking. But I did hear that the environment will be larger with NL2. I...

Well, time for my 2 cents. I'm not going to try to categorize these different track design one way or the other. Always follow the "money trail." What are businesses in business for? To make money. Saving money is also the same as making money. Building a track that's strong, with a steel box on top...
