Re: BGW 2020 - Pantheon: Intamin Multi-Launch

Duration will be fairly long though. On par with or exceeding that of your average coaster's lift to brake time. I think it also looks short because several of the elements are so large.

Re: New RMC Inspired Hybrid - New 'Lateral Teaser Hill' Elem

There's a difference between something being safe and comfortable. I think with the durations, quick onsets of forces, magnitudes, and quantities some of your ride would be painful. Just my opinion though, it's your ride. One last unrelated thing, there's a big change in energy exiting that last hel...

Re: New RMC Inspired Hybrid - New 'Lateral Teaser Hill' Elem

Yeah I think your forces are too much if you want this to pass as a realistic coaster. You have to figure -2G is probably as high as any coaster has ever gone (outside of some very unusual situations) and you have that force as a norm. It's a huge coaster with a long duration, so there's a certain p...

Re: New RMC Inspired Hybrid - New 'Lateral Teaser Hill' Elem

I think your layout is beautiful and some of the design features are clever. The wave turn at the edge of the hill was cool, and I liked the flat (both banked and unbanked) turns in the middle of the layout. A couple things took me out of the experience...that really oddly shaped first drop, and the...

Re: [NL2] --Avalanche--

You don't really need Pro anymore, just export .dae. It's not like before where you had to use .3ds. I still use SketchUp no problem for coaster model needs.

Re: Green Lantern at SFMM to be removed

Seems weird that the track is the issue, especially given how I haven't heard bad things about Insane.

Re: Project 2020 and General Park Updates - Kings Island

What do you mean by the "tightest pacing?" The one with the least perceived faults? I'm not sure this ride will be special in that regard...maybe, given the short layout. We shall see.

Re: Heide Park 2019 - Colossos Refurb

Looks like they only added 1 trim to the beginning. The others have been there for a while...it opened untrimmed but at some point in the years before it closed, they added in several trims on the out run.

Cool pictures though, thanks for sharing.

Re: Kings Dominion Removing Volcano

This is all sad, but it would be really cool to see the immelman without the mountain. Hopefully they continue to take down the top half of the mountain before getting to the track.

Re: Heide Park 2019 - Colossos Refurb

Having ridden El Toro which has the same trains, I have to say there's no need to worry either about the lap bar or the added "lateral braces" as you guys described them. None of those things is really an issue, the lap bars are comfortable and very similar to T bars I've tried (Superman S...

Re: Busch Gardens Williamsburg 2020

To be fair, based on the NL POV, the ride will be something like 1:15 from start to brakes. If you disregard the length of a lift hill, that's pretty substantial. The shuttle section adds a lot of time.

Re: Happy Valley Beijing Expansion!

GerstlCrazy, I forgot about Talon and Mantis, hadn't ridden the rest and therefore it was less likely for me to remember their trims. Thanks for the info

Re: American Dream Meadowlands New Jersey - Nickelodeon Univ

I actually think the aesthetics of the S&S are better, assuming we're talking about Gale Force and not Joker. The layout I'm sure is more exciting, but I'm guessing a lower quality ride experience than the Intamin will be.

Re: American Dream Meadowlands New Jersey - Nickelodeon Univ

I love Intamin coasters, but this one doesn't really have a lot of the good characteristics of Intamins. It's fairly ugly. It'll be fun and good for families as a medium thrill ride as you said.

Re: Happy Valley Beijing Expansion!

Trims on a decline are unusual for B&M right (outside of MCBRs and predrops)? I can't think of one that I've noticed.

Re: American Dream Meadowlands New Jersey - Nickelodeon Univ

For reference, the Intamin is indeed that model as shown in the NL video, but with normal Intamin tri-rail track. I think the track is done based on quick glances through some translucent material while driving by every week.

Re: [NL2] Sasquatch - B&M Invert

I think your track design looks really good, and I like what you're trying for in the story, but I don't think it really works. It's a newer B&M and we haven't ever seen B&M make a track design mistake like that. Maybe if it was Intamin :P but then to leave the MCBR I think doesn't fit. If t...

Re: SFMM 2019 - West Coast Racers: Premier Quadruple Launch

lol, "launchs." I think they should've done a lot better with this whole project, really don't feel like it adds a ton to the park. The addition as well as the layout just feel completely random.

Re: Kentucky Kingdom 2019 - Kentucky Flyer: GG Family Wooden

You realize this ride is tiny right? Also it looks great when considering the height. The whole layout makes logical sense to me and seems like it'll work really well. I'd personally wish for the same layout with like another 20' of height at least to ensure some slightly more sustained speed over h...

Re: Moreys Piers building Runaway Tram in 2019 (Family Coast

Looks like a good coaster for kids and families who are intimidated by Great White. *Looks* smooth, will be fun and won't be too crazy. If everything was done for enthusiasts, there would be no amusement business left for enthusiasts to enjoy.

Re: Epcot 2021 - Guardians of the Galaxy: Vekoma Coaster

I rode and enjoyed Everest, found it to be an *excellent* ride for families, like B&M in that it's a real crowd pleaser that can satisfy everyone. I didn't find it to be particularly thrilling/exciting, just a lot of fun. From what I remember I noticed there was no actual airtime on the ride eve...

Re: Epcot 2021 - Guardians of the Galaxy: Vekoma Coaster

"They said it would be like Space Mtn"

Did they say it would be "hyper style" too? I'm sure it'll be great but to think it'll be the best coaster of the year based on almost nothing is an easy way to be disappointed.
