Actually, you will need 169 feet if you want a 92 mph launch, but you have to enter in the launch G's as 1.67 G's, because that is the acceleration of Kingda Ka's launch, which is what was used to calculate it. Though you wanted 90 - 92 mph, either value should be fine. Just remember to enter in the...

I will never follow a real style ride because that severely limits the amount of elements I am allowed to do. That means if I wanted to make a B&M Invert, I *HAVE* to have a loop, Zero G Roll, Immelmann, Cobra Roll, and a couple of wing overs, almost guaranteed in that order. It's so boring, so mund...

support going underground error

I'm starting a terrain woodie, and whenever I select anything other than the simple support structure, the lateral bracing goes all the way to "sea level" and ignores the terrain that I put in as if it were not really there. This has been annoying me for forever, and I only want to do custom lateral...

Bump: Is there a faster way to "snap" the terrain to the .3ds file? I'm about half way done, but I want to do something to make the process a bit more expedient. The way I'm currently doing it is by dragging each 1x1 tile in the editor up to the blue wire frame. Is there a faster, and equally as acc...

^As I am currently downloading Sketchup, is it possible for Smoove, or anything in Sketchup for that matter, that can import the terrain from Google Earth? (They are from the same company, so there may be hope.)

One more question: How can I view .3DS objects in the editor?

recreating real land plots in an easier manner

I don't do coasters in fantasy terrains or flat land anymore; I do real parks. What I usually do to recreate the land plots is that I go into Google Earth, take lateral and vertical measurements, and I record the elevation every 50 feet. I then make a roller coaster that has the corresponding XYZ co...

How to make proper lift drops in Newton 2

I'm having an issue with a normal force pump in the top of a lift. For the transition to level out the lift, I have two options: 1: Use curved geometry and transition to multi-zone force. This creates a pump. 2: Use multi-zone force for the whole thing, but in order to keep the geometry of the lift ...

Gouldy: The national gas average is about $4/gallon (0.66 pounds per liter) so gas is cheaper. Although the problem is we often live 20+ miles (32+km) from work, so it adds up very quickly. America is a huge, spread out country, so mass transit doesn't work for us all that much except within cities.

It would be nice to get cheaper, but sometimes those are not only few and far between, but I also want a hotel that is clean. 2012 or 2013: GMT-6 timezone trip.

Well, now that I am technically a college student (I start classes at the end of August) I really wanted to do one freaking huge trip during college. I decided on the GMT-6 timezone for a few reasons: 1: I'd only be 19 or 20 (2012 or 2013), so if I wanted to do a trip somewhere else, I'd likely have...

Need I remind everyone that this trip will not be for several years? I just like to plan very far ahead. It's fun. I am currently saving up for a stateside trip that I wish to do in 2012, but 2013 will be more likely, due to the fact that it's so expensive. Actually, speaking of which, I think I'll ...
