Yesterday it was reported and we posted on Twitter and Facebook about the little girl that was unconscious when the train came back into the station of Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Today we have learned that the 10 year old girl passed away. There isn't any evidence that the unconscious state of the little girl was caused by Revolution at this time.

Here is a statement released by Six Flags Magic Mountain today:

Updated 6/15/15

We were deeply saddened to learn that Jasmine Martinez, who was transported to the hospital after riding Revolution on June 12 has died.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jasmine???s family and friends during this difficult time.

Jasmine came into the ride station unconscious and was treated at the scene and airlifted immediately to an area hospital.

Over 45 million guests have safely ridden Revolution since it opened in 1976.

There is no evidence to suggest that this was in any way ride related. We do not know if there was a pre-existing condition.

On the day of the incident, the State determined it was unrelated to the operation of the ride and it was re-opened. With the latest development, following state guidelines, the ride has been temporarily closed pending a review.

Again, we extend our deepest condolences to Jasmine???s family.

Updated 6/15/15 - 5:45 p.m.

The State has cleared and approved Revolution to re-open and we will begin operating it again tonight

It was said before. This has been a bad month for coasters. In this situation I'm inclined to think the girl had a pre-existing condition, because it's highly unlikely to die from G-force blackout. If her head had been knocked around hard enough, there should have been bleeding or at least signs of blunt force trauma.

Yeah, my ears hurt a lot from the dumb OTSR's they have on there but I don't see that as causing her to go unconscious. Jayman and I just rode it the week before! Hopefully they publish what underlying condition there was when found, if any.

It sounds like they've ruled out the ride being to blame already. That's the good news. The bad news is this makes news. I've been on this ride a LOT and sure it bangs you around a tad but it wouldn't be anything strong enough to cause something like that to happen. Hopefully the cause is found. I'm pretty sure it was a pre existing condition

Saturday was pretty damn HOT. I wonder if the heat had something to do with it.

It can't be just because I'm old enough to consistently keep up with news... roller coasters have been having a really bad year.

When something major happens (ie Smiler) not only do you tend to notice similar stories more (psychological effect) but as its "topic of the day" news outlets will pick up on more of them.

I was kind of at a loss when I heard this news. I was exactly like, why this came after Smiler's case. So Murphy's Law... :(

I still hope the park loses the OTSR's on this ride.

^ Agreed.

Also, after all these years, Revolution still has some of the heaviest positive Gs in the entire state of California. If you've got brain issues going on, you should not ride it.

The 10-year-old Ventura County girl who died after losing consciousness on the Revolution roller coaster at Six Flags in Valencia died from natural causes and not from an accident on the ride, the coroner said. http://abc7.la/1MZuaL0

The coroner did not have any further details on the girl's health condition.
