Third to pick a Disney ride this round, and I had planned it already before anyone else picked one [:D]

I'll pick the world's best mine train coaster, and the one coaster I've ridden the most in my life, and it's still one of my very favourites:

Big Thunder Mountain @ Disneyland Resort PARIS.

The other BTM's all around the world can't be compared to this one as far as what I've read and seen... Not only is the Paris version about double as long (almost 5000 feet of track for a ride which lasts four minutes!) and reaches more than 40 mph, but the theming even beats the others by far: This ride crosses underneath a lake two times and leads you through a whole mountain of scenery, featuring elaborate theming including animatronics and special effects, that will blow any first-time riders away. Here some rcdb pics, but the greatest scenery which is in the tunnels, isn't even shown here!

The stats:

http://www.rcdb.com/id956.htm

The ride experience is IMO great, too. Juniors can ride it without problems, but it will also feature enough thrill to be fun for everybody, especially when ridden in the backseat. The last tunnel going underneath the lake is a blast: a very shallow drop that seems to last forever, starting in complete darkness, then speeding under glowing bats to end up hurling around a banked turn with red alarm light and a rattling sound and feeling, overall making up for one of the greatest sensations of speed I've ever experienced!

Here's a long review with some great pics for this ride too:

By the way, the raters have all given between 4 and 5 stars to Big Thunder Mountain! [worship]

Um yeah since these are going to get gobbled up soon and I need a GIB I'll take Stunt Fall because it seems to have the prettiest surroundings around it along with buildings and stuff.

Agreed [:)] Rules-wise, I'm sorry to say you've missed your turn by four hours, and I think we can't make an exception as there were other users who begged to still pick and we didn't let them. Jim can decide though. Also bigboy, it'd be only your second turn missed, so you're still in [:D] your getting a good lineup of coasters by the way.

@ Jim, I've just sent you a PM - you might wanna read it if you find the time. Thanks [:)]

Ik haat alle u idioten. U allen zult sterven aan blootstelling aan pastei.

Round #8

Round 8 order of drafties:
1-Fornication Nation
2-coolbeans326
3-hyyyper
4-guitarplayer673
5-Woodie Man
6-jimths08
7-RRollergod
8-ragan
9-CoAsTeRkRazY
10-DJ tommy
11-Jakizle
12-Dirk Ermen
13-pad
14-Coasterkidmwm
15-e-man
16-bigboy_1234567
17-dcs221

Here are the picks taken so far and the round orders. For those on Mac, just IM/PM me to ask whats been taken. Now that the draft is moving quite quickly, the park building and profiling should be your main area of concentration.

The criteria for each park is:
1-must have a name
2-must have 2 things that set it apart from the other drafters parks. IE, no two drafters can offer free soda. What sets your park apart will be a first come first serve basis. The faster you email me (after the 12th round is over) the more likely you will get your choice.
3-you should type a 2-3 paragraph description of your park
4-you will have to have a sponsorship with one food company. IE, Papa Johns will provide your parks pizza.
5-you must have a specific location for your park including pictures. If the spot isn't photographed, you can't have it.

More rules may or may not come, thinking is in progress.

Fornication Nation has until 3:50 pm 02-04-06 to pick his coaster.

cool twist jim,

btw, can we use google.earth and windowslivelocal images?

EDIT: for the ones who don't know what this sentence means:

Ik haat alle u idioten. U allen zult sterven aan blootstelling aan pastei.

It's dutch

Translated it comes down to: I hate you idiots. All of you will die by exposition to pie

Are we allowed to use a park that was abandoned? I would like to pick a park that had a ferris wheel, a strange spinning ride, bumper cars, and a show. That place is in need of some coasters. It was scheduled to open in 1986 but construction was halted. I have several pictures of the park and the name of it.

i've already listed a location, some special actions, sponsors, i already have a name.

and btw, coasterkid, it's obvious that the park will have a ferris wheel and stuff, not just coasters and that's it.

IMO you should look for a location with good accesability and landscape etc.

and it has to have space. I was surprised how much space i just found in a very popular area. My sponsor is very cool with the location, and my specail features are always nice to have. I have aboslutely no clue what to name my park!
