I hope to finish trackwork tomorrow or Wednesday and get it uploaded by friday morning. Im debating whether or not to stay here this weekend (in my hometown) and if I do, then itll be up Saturday.

Progress is going good. Its pretty easy this time around because theres alot of flexability and with the track being shorter than last - less time spent tracking and more time spent element-izing.

For everyone's information, the judging will be a little different this time. Last round, I gave myself a week. The original schedule had the ratings done on Saturday, but since the start of this round was pushed back by 3 days that date is no longer valid. I am now expecting to take 2 days to rate all of the tracks, so the third round is now scheduled for Tuesday of next week. Just thought I'd make sure everyone knew that...

Well you guys, I'm off to D.C. in just a few hours. I've sent my entry to you CJ, I really hope it went through because I am royally screwed if it doesn't. I won't be back until late Monday. Cheers, and good luck to everybody!

Im back in action! My airsoft gun went down due to mechanical difficulties that I should have figured out but didnt till just 20 minutes ago when I got back into the gearbox and had a huge epiphany.

So now that all is right with the world, I am back to the ride which is nearly done trackwork.

Its been quite a day.

Which ends with my airsoft gun being fixed and my trackwork finalized (99%).

3551ft long featuring two unique inverions/elements and a corkscrew (standard issue but with low entrance and high exit) along with a triple down underground and multiple trench/tunnel areas. ~64mph and G's right up to 5.0 and -1.4 with lats under 0.9 (safe number - could be lower)

Cjd : What formula are you using to do the riders per hour? Thats Cjd, not anyone else.

To calculate the ride time, I use the second train... time begins as soon as the second train stops in the loading station, and ends after that train completes the circuit and stops in the loading station again. Then, I do the following equation:

3600 / Ride Time (seconds) * # of trains * # of riders per train = # riders / hour

My ride has a capacity of about 1502 RPH under that formula.

I get something above 2000 with that formulas, but with Wingy's I only get like 1058. But cjd's is the important one.

CJD - if we do a Dual station setup do both stations need to be in the X?

If it does, Ive already changed my setup.

After another 3 hours of retracking, I have completely redesigned the ending and its now way freaking better than before.

Off to 3ds'ing this thing then supporting then done! Hoping to be done by Friday night but thats a long shot.

Real, you are correct. All stations must be in the "x".

You sure about that? Even with a 6 car train, that would work out a launch ever 28 seconds. That's a bit...optimistic. Even with a dual station I doubt even the best crew could hit that kind of number.

That would be quite a heavy load on the launch system as well.

But I'm sure some of the crazy German's that work at the traveling fairs over there could do it. [:P]

Can I remove the terrain if I have a 3ds one in its place? I exported the terrain using the CK and have reinserted it back in and moved it till it laid nearly in the exact same place. The hill is virtually the exact same thing except Ive added tunnels.

^Yes, Real, you can replace the terrain with 3ds.

By the way, just 37.5 hours left until the deadline. Only 4 tracks are in so far, so I hope to see a batallion of entries coming in tonight and tomorrow.
