Going to complain more about such a small issue?

Yeah actually since I had a really marvelous day full of wonder, rainbow farts and joy, I think I will.

In addition, this is called Yellow Amethyst. It exists.

Looks very similar to the brown-yellow I used for my catwalks and rails.

The following doesn't seem to agree with what you've written.

Quartz (silicate mineral)
Chemical Formula: Si02
Crystal System: hexagonal
Hardness: 7 (scratches glass)
Streak: white
Luster: Vitreous
Cleavage: none. Conchoidal fracture
Indicatrix: Uniaxial positive indicatrix
Pleochroism: none
Color: Clear
Varieties (pay attention to this section)
*Rose Quartz: Pink or rose red color. Cause of impurity unknown.
*Citrine: Yellow. Related to Fe impurity content, irradiation, or a combination of the two.
*Milky Quartz: Whiteness caused by minute fluid inclusions.
*Amethyst: Violet or purple. Related to trace amounts of Fe present.
*Smoky Quartz: Brown to black color. Produced by an Al impurity.

After: Nesse, William D.

Quartz in thin section:

After: Waters, J. D.

This image is under cross polarized light without the use of the gypsum plate or anything like that. Since you're a goddamned expert in the field I don't need to explain those terms to you. Notice the first order colors and the different extinction of the grains.

I've been studying to be a geologist for a couple years and I only TA two sections of a goddamned introductory class. I don't spend my entire week in class or in my room working on labs and busting my ass in school to have some twat tell me a goddamned internet site trying to sell something to you (and scam you) knows better. Jackass.

It's not called "yellow amethyst". What you linked to is called citrine, and if you wanna be really scientific, it's quartz.

I know it's called citrine. It can also be called yellow amethyst in some catalogs. I looked on google for 4 minutes and found some pictures of what is called yellow amethyst by some people. So I used it in my defense, which in actuality I shouldn't need because most people really, really don't care what some guy on the site's simple tournament roller coaster entry name is.

Yeah you totally knew that and that's why you searched for it under the wrong name. Way to be a dingus. It's called "yellow amethyst to scam stupid people, a true american tradition.

Blatent ignorance pisses people of. Live with it.

I wanted to find some simple evidence to maybe shut you up about it, but that really didn't work.

We can move this to a different topic - or perhaps a private message is in order because it's such a tiny, stupid thing you must rant about - because this is the tournament topic.

way to break free of the arguement there, go ianko! i didn't really quite understand the height limit there, i thought i was within limits, i know i had a double station (SILENCE i missed the part, wasn't concentrating) but nbeing under the red line right at the top then being disqualified for it confuzzled me, what, exactly did i do wrong there? (curiosity kicking in, there, i know i'm out whatever happens, there's no escaping the double station!)[B)]
Cradled by two loving arms that I'd die for,
One little kiss and Felina goodbye.

Completely Hypocritical Question:

How are the results coming, hyyyper? When will we know who will advance, and when will we get ratings?

You're over the station height limit Adren. You really need to read more carefully.

4 out of 23 ratings are done. You'll know who's advance at the start of round 2. Ratings might be delayed, but you'll know who's advancing and you can start building on the 1st.

How can you decide who advances without rating the coasters? I see some rating skewing in the future if that's the case...obviously the tracks that advance have to be rated the highest.

^Actually, if he starts rating from the bottom up, starting with the tracks that he thinks are the worst, then he could decide the results after only rating about 10 tracks. I wouldn't want to do that, though. Rating nothing but bad tracks would drive me insane...
