Isnt this like what happened with Xcellerator? The person got to pick it even though it had shut down because of that launch disaster.

Like coasterkid said, there is a big difference between a cable that was replaced, and the ride opening pretty soon, and a ride where the friggin train falls apart and isn't showing any signs opening after being closed for 3/4 of a year.

I'm just saying from a players stand point as well. If I would have picked it I would be pointing to the rules which states RCDB is the reference. The rule is that if RCDB says its closed but the picker has proof it is opened then it can be picked. The picker of the ride must prove it is opened if RCDB says it is not. This should not be worked retroactively so that if RCDB says its opened that someone else can say its closed according to the website and make it invalid so they can't pick it. I find it a tad unfair.

Technically no, your turn ended when RideWarriorNation made his pick. But to be honest, that's really lame to miss a turn like that so I'll consider your turn 'skipped' and you can pick two coasters next round. I'll do the same for maxamaxam in the Alpha Draft.

But please guys, If you are unsure wether a pick is valid or not, check it out or send me a pm. This way we can avoid somebody missing a pick because of dumb misunderstandings.

If anything, Ridewarriornation should of waited for this to be resolved before just jumping in the middle of the discussion post his pick. There's no logical reason for me to have missed my pick. We were resolving a problem and someone decided they would just go next without reading to see that my pick was being debated. You proved that by asking me if there were any recent videos. It's not like I posted my pick and left, we were currently in the midst of a conversation. Since it's so late in the draft anyways, picks are more of personal prefrence than scooping up the best coasters, so I won't argue this further. Thanks, and I'll just wait for the next turn.

^I'm sorry you feel that way, but you should know that it is your responsibilty to figure out if a ride is open or not. And if you're still not sure you can always send me a pm.
Drafters are not supposed to post a pick and then see what happens or how the dicussion goes. You pick your coaster, then the next person picks theirs, if your coaster is invalid, it's your loss.

However, in the future, I will probably make a list of 'contoversial' coasters, and wether they can be picked or not. I hope that will avoid any misunderstandings.

Yeah, sorry, I didnt mean for this to cause problem either. I just went by rcdb and didn;t know it was closed untill someone said it was. Thanks for letting me pick next round. =]
