I'm sorry if I did. I didn't build any actual track other than a simple and quick track to see if the template was big/small enough for the lenght/height restrictions. So I didn't really pay attention to it [:)]

I'll be without the internet for most of tomorrow so I just submitted my track even though it's not quite finished in my eyes. How's everyone else doing?

Vid has been online on Facebook in the past few days, just not on here, so he may have been doing his track, although I doubt it [lol] His status on facebook was that he was in the mood for murdering people brutally, soit seems his mind may be on other things at this stage!

Lol, I talked to him. Hes not finishing.

*Edit*
Well, I finished. Pissed though, cause my damn tunnel didnt work out at all and stole 3 hrs from me. I got other things done instead though. I'm really happy with this and I'm glad it was a racing coaster for the final round. It was very challenging, and I probably wouldn't of attempted a racing coaster anytime soon if not in the contest. So only 2 tracks, lol.

So, yeah, as you probably noticed I was quite busy the last few weeks, and that's pretty much the reason why I didn't finish...
I did try to finish something by hand on the 9th, but when i found out people were submitting finished rides I didn't bother... It sucked anyway...

I don't think that was really the intention as much as it was a (sometimes positive, sometimes negative) side effect of their design technique at the time. But yes, all of what you said was exactly what I mean.

So, it's okay for the proffessionals to make a "mistake" and it end up being something people love, but we can't?

The fact of the matter is that NONE of us are proffessionals. If we were, we wouldn't be wasting our time on this site. We'd be out doing our damn job. We are all bound here by one thing, our love for roller coasters. We are here because these rides are FUN. And it seems that people aren't having fun with it any more because there are so many people nit-picking their every little detail on their rides. If you want to go out and copy and paste little bits from a certain style ride then good for you. But some of us still like to have fun with this, and many of us don't have the skills required to make these little oddball transitions. Jakes latest coaster is a perfect example of this. He put forth a valiant effort to make it super realistic, and was still downrated in both directions because of it. Some saw it as a flaw because it was shaped oddly. Others saw it as a flaw because it wasn't shaped exactly like it is on a real ride.

No Limits is a great simulator. It does an excellent job of giving you the flexibility to build just about anything you want. But it doesn't even come close to giving you the very finest of aspects to truely break down a ride like so many are trying to do. You can only slow the ride down to 25% speed, only giving you a glimpse of what the forces are really doing in those quick transitions. You can't "feel" it. You can only see what the program is feeding back to you. And that is a huge flaw when trying to get down to the nitty-gritty.

If you have beared through this, I appreciate you taking the time to listen to my ramblings. And if you can get anythign out of it, please, just have fun with this game. This site is becoming unenjoyable because people aren't having fun with this anymore. If you know right out of the gates that the contest is about adrenaline and technical scores and not rated against a particular builder style, then you have no ride to bitch about your boring ride not winning because it was a perfect match to what a certain designer in the real world would do.

It's hyyyper's contest, not anybody else's, and if you don't like the fact that the rides are rated a certain way, don't love enter, and let the rest of us have fun with our GAME.

Now look at what you have done! How are we supposed to be un-biased as judges when you tell'm which track you build?

Who here thinks guitarplayer should be kicked from the tourny?

lol, way to use my statement without having a clue what I'm talking about iron man, and also to start a rant about people who don't know enough putting down a ride that I defended stronger than pretty much anyone else. Thanks.

People could say the exact same thing to you about the quality in your designs. "Why'd you spend so much time making this shaping so perfect? Nobody cares! It's all for fun!" Fact is, different people want different things out of the game. My biggest point in this thread in particular is there should be some sort of standard for a contest, and if there isn't then it really loses credibility.

You're kinda 'all late and wrong' though...I know I personally haven't paid any attention to this thread in months. And yeah, next time make sure you understand what I'm talking about before replying like that. It'd make life a lot easier for everyone.
