I finished my track and it was 2200m and couldn't spare anything. So I started over. Now I am going with a leviathan style, no mcbr but still has 3 trains. I hope that's allowed. Plus I found that a mcbr with a top speed limit of 20k/h just didn't follow suit with the high speed track and really made for an adrenalin stall.

The MCBR has no speed limit. If you stop a train on an MCBR and wish to propel it forward (instead of or to aid gravity) the speed limit is 20 kph.
So, while the transport settings of the brake must not be higher than 20 kph, the train can pass through at any speed you like.

Track done, 1960m of pure B&M-ness... hopefully [;)]
It's doable guys. [:D]

Ya but if I pass through the mcbr at 40k/h and then e stop it, when I go to propel it at 20k/h it might not make the next element. Either way i'm not going with an mcbr like leviathan. This new track I got is much better. My other one just didnt have a B&M feel.

Save them as an element and resize them to 95%?

Or does Newton not allow freedom of choice like that?

the ride is barely passing tunnel test. 5% size downgrade won't help. I'm going to have to cut the Shambhala twist, its eating up a large portion of the length.

The requirements for this contest were easy guys. Stop complaining and build a damn ride!

I'm done :)

I agree that this is easy, I'm using Newton and at the same time I'm trying to make it more unique so I'm just taking longer; but it isn't posing as much of a challenge as some of you are making it out to be.

About my ride, I'm slowly making progress. Contests are good motivators for me to finish up a ride. :)

Whats considered acceptable banking for a ride like leviathan? My hammer head runs really nice at 140 degrees, but I take it that counts as an inversion now? Is 115 deg the max for an over bank or is there a max?

idk i utilized a drop similar to GOliath's MCBR which banks a little past 90 (around 120) and has the rider hanging for a short while, i think then that 120 might be a good number to stop at.

I have re-read the rules and I cannot find any rules banning high-levels of banking or inversions.

Overbank = over 90????????? banked turn. Means that between 90????????? and 180?????????, it is an overbank. Below 90, it's a simple turn; over 180?????????, it's an inversion. [;)] If your 140????????? hammerhead rides nice at 140?????????, keep it. [:D]

actually an inversion is over 155 degrees, but its still under so it makes little difference
What are these for?

The 155 was what I was wondering. Good to know. I reshaped it and got it down to 105. When it was at 140 it felt like an inversion.

Thank you for taking the initiative by reshaping it instead of calling the waahmbulance. If it runs out of gas, I'll have to replace it with the dreaded "ambalamps", and nobody wants that.

What is and isn't an inversion is subjective. There's no magic number other than >90*.

I think an inversion should be any element requiring an OTSR. But I don't think that makes any sense either cuz these overbanked turns imo should require OTSR's. If for what ever reason the train on leviathan stopped on the hammerhead I think I would feel uncomfortable hanging by a lap bar. Even though nobody could get out.

Your argument is void. There have been rollercoaster with inversions and lap bars, and coasters without inversions that had OTSRs.

Wow I'm a little late to this party. I guess better late than never. From the looks of it I'm going to have fun with this ride.

I *think* one of the X-Car's selling points is that its meant to be incredibly comfortable even when stuck upside down despite only being a lapbar. Sure I remember that from when they were building G-Force at Drayton Manor.
