^Absolutely. And other AJ(Clarke), I feel it's unlikely that your trackwork is nearly as bad as mine at this point, my design is too intense and lateral Gs are out of control...but I still plan to submit my design so as to complete something. There's no progression otherwise. You should submit a design regardless of if you feel it's up to whatever 'par' you've set for yourself.

Mine just has Newton-y turns and a layout that had parts that weren't necessary and/or didn't make sense.

lol CK I'm not whining, I'm just deleting. Hence why I haven't made a real ride in a year or so.

Just keep at it man. This is gonna be my first newton coaster and I still haven't reached the MCBR. Just take your time and it will work out in the end. I look forward to seeing a completed coaster!

lol It's fine really...I've actually started making another side project like G5 (dunno if I will ever do a full project for a long time) and it's something I've come to like.

I may try another layout with the challenge but the more I look at the existing one the more I hate it.

I think he solution to your problem is very simple. DON"T use NEWTON, instead HANDBUILD. problem = solved
What are these for?

Wow the shambhala helix is weird...it rides funny when it looks right and when it looks misshapen it rides perfectly. just a sidenote but i will be excited to see how B&M is gonna pull off that turn on Shambhala.

Except I'm worse at handbuilding.

Seriously it's fine lol...I'm working on another coaster anyway. I merely was just saying that I wouldn't likely be submitting.

Hey guys, I have been thinking about the scenery/3d-objects rules and decided to expanded to rules a little bit:

Scenery that mimics the track and its supports, must follow all rules stated for the 'real' track and supports. Examples:
-Enlarged backbones
-Storage/transfer tracks
-Catwalks/stairs

Scenery that has nothing to do with the track and supports itself can go anywhere in the template, but must follow the 'blue-area' and 'powerline' rules as if they were supports. Examples:
-Paths
-Station buildings
-Trees
-Other park buildings

And finally, if you want to, you may create a ride that fits into the purple area.

Please also note that scenery has little effect on your rating, which is principally based on the track itself.
And once again, if anything is unclear, please ask me!

I have to say I'm a bit surprised that transfer tracks are included in the "mimics track" category. I feel like those are purely aesthetic in NL simulations. Just my opinion, and I don't plan on including them anyway, but I thought I'd put my two cents on the matter out there.

^really? i don't find the layout very challenging, allows for a lot of "close to the ground" action that ups the adrenaline.

on a sidenote, is the "existing coaster region" supposed to be Invertigo with a GIB layout? It looks fitting for a misshapen batwing and a gigantic loop as well as a 90 degree lift in the corners.

Again, if we have a design for the existing region, can we place supports under 40 m there if it doesn't collide with the 3ds ride?

Definitely not since it's against the rule. The rule is about the pink lines, that *symbolize* somehow the coaster. You may build a coaster but even though it's a 10m kiddie you'll have to go over the pink lines. [:D]

^what about goliath? its gigantic tower support structure busts straight into the middle of Colossus' turn. well whatever, the power lines are above the ride rather than below it anyway...

How's this for the reasoning regarding the blue space rule: hyyyper has a particular idea about what that coaster is, and it happens to be about 40m tall. It doesn't matter what design *you* put there. You're not designing the coaster in that space; it's already there. Deal with it.

I have a bit of a complaint pertaining to the length requirement, I think that the competition would be so much more interesting if there was say a limit of something more in the area of 3000 meters just because 2000 meters isn't really enough length to squeeze an MCBR in if a launch isn't allowed and it doesn't have a break run to end all brake runs to accommodate the required 3rd train.

I personally love the template and am extremely happy with how my ride came out. I really really love the layout I came up with. 90% done with supports!

Bottom Feeder, why limit it if your limit is way higher than the longest existing ride? I haven't followed the rules too much, but assuming you're correct in saying the current limit is 2000m, that's would already be one of the longest coasters in the world. Just make it work.

I finished my track and it was 2200m and couldn't spare anything. So I started over. Now I am going with a leviathan style, no mcbr but still has 3 trains. I hope that's allowed. Plus I found that a mcbr with a top speed limit of 20k/h just didn't follow suit with the high speed track and really made for an adrenalin stall.
