For the very first time since the tournament began in 2003, I am going to bow out completely, neither judging nor competing. I can't put forth the time investment this year. Nonetheless, good luck, everyone!
He's pretty consistent and I agree with the majority of his ratings.
He doesn't go into nearly enough detail for it to be good enough. There are plenty of people here who are far more capable of rating fairly and accurate.
I would go into more detail but I'm now trying to rate every track that I download, so that means that I try to get just the gist of the rate in without going into massive detail, this is also affected by the quality of the track since I get less motivated to go into great detail.

BF13 is good. i read his rates and they seem more honest than a whole lot of other raters. He rates based on the individual track and not the designer's overall reputation for a certain type of coaster so I think he would be the best suited for the tournament.
I was actually just about to chime in here: even if only for respect reasons, we should give the job to someone who's been around a long time and has competed in (or judged) NL Tournaments before.
Also, 4dfan, you haven't even been around long enough to see a NL Tournament much less compete in one. The ratings that come out of the rounds are literally pages long. You can't possibly imagine the amount of detail that goes into those ratings. Being "honest" has nothing to do with this, really - the tracks are shuffled before being sent to the judges anyway. Even bottom_feeder has been around for less than a year, so as "honest" as he might be, he's certainly not fit for the job. No offense meant to anyone.
