Even Oblivion at AT with only a drop and the overbanked back to the station it's incredibly powerful and exciting! Can't wait to ride the new one in Gardaland!

yeah Oblivion was the first Dive, Air was the first Flying, and Raptor was the first wing. They don't make prototypes too far in the world from home lol. Oblivion also isn't vertical like most. Not sure why they stopped just three degrees short. TTD if you ever get the chance, Sheikra HAS to be your first dive if you have a say in the matter. Griffon just doesn't do it like Sheikra does. Griffon may be a little taller, but in Florida, other than than Falcon's Fury there is nothing even half that tall for like 10 miles and only when you hit the Tampa skyline. It's unbelievably scary the first time. Griffon doesn't have that epic flat view

I want to ride a dive machine so bad. Why must New England have such a lack of B&M.

Most likely cause they had to dig a big ass hole in the ground to fit it in. Extra degrees means extra drop means more speed and bigger pullout. Little differences like that can stack up!

I want more dive coasters and less wingriders!

How the PPH on dive coasters? How profitable?

Dive coasters are probably the most efficient of the product line for B&M and probably coasters in general. Sheikra clears 48 people a cycle sending two trains out of the station a time. the second train going up the lift before the lead train takes the first drop! So by the time you are falling face first to Florida, they are already almost done loading another 48 people in two more trains. Not sure what their PPH is, but it's HIGH. maybe the highest in the park chains.

The rides are compact, short, and intense. Nothing like it, and even though they are short coasters you get off feeling fulfilled and exhilarated. Sheikra is my favorite roller coaster

And when it was build at 13.5mil only cost BGT 2mil more than Raptor costed CP 20 years ago! I can't believe we only have two in the US

So have I, but Full Throttle's loop is completely diffrent than a regular one. I imagine the same applies to dive coasters. Hang time changes it up! In both cases.
Fahrenheit looks awesome!
Hershey park is defiantly on my bucket list!

Drive to it! 5 hours is nothing!

$13,500,000 USD on a dive machine. Less than $1,000,000 on a Larson Loop
That's why they don't stock up on dive machines lol

I'm with ya, being in NJ has its benefits, and bad things, Busch Gardens being 5-6 hours away is the worst.

And DC traffic...

Oblivion is stated at 1,900 riders per hour - that's with one less car per train (I imagine the dispatch times are fairly similar as they use similar dual dispatch!)

Ah, DC Traffic - I would've rather biked back to Pittsburgh than ride through it after our bike trip

Are their any big problems with dive coasters?
I mean it seems to good of an investment to be true!
-High PPH
-Low cost to high thrill proportion
-small space
-rare
-looks great

What are some reasons why a park would not want one?
I can't think of any......
