This year had its highs and lows;
Highs:
Fury 325- Freaking amazing. It seems like they tried to make Leviathan bigger and better, and they surely succeeded. It has some very flowy and beautiful elements
Thunderbird- Huge step for the park. The launch factor makes a huge difference, and its different from every other wingrider
Twisted Colossus- Not sure why so much hate is put on this. The stats are just massive. 4 minutes of ride time is absolutely ridiculous. Plus, it doesn't have the red/orange rails that are really getting old. Also, you get that dueling factor, AND you get to ride twice, AND wait once. Did I mention how close you come to the trains? This is an immensely underrated ride so far. Just wait until its complete.
Wicked Cyclone- Finally strayed away from the "iron" name. Seriously though, the name is awesome. It just fits. Pacing is INSANE and the ride itself looks really intense and has some really cool and interesting transitions.
Lows:
Batman The Ride: I thought S&S was gonna impress us. It's just a Zac Spin, but not an Intamin- and I never liked Intamin's either. I expected a not intense, but complete and actual layout but they didn't do that with it. Not impressed.
All of the Super Loops: Come on. A carnival ride at an elite park? That's not even the worst part. They hyped it up ridiculously and marketed it as a coaster when even to the GP it clearly isn't. But SF insists it is despite the hate they are getting on social media ( speaking of this, they removed all of negative comments from their website
) . Like someone said above, If your gonna market a blockbuster, then deliver a blockbuster.
Honarable Mention:
Rougarou- I was very happy with this announcement. It will bring new life to an old attraction, and a rather unpopular and painful one too. Cedar Point also marketed this flawlessly and this lived up to the hype. This ride will be so much smoother and more comfortable now! It also opens up a new door for standup coasters across the country because with most of them aging, they are getting quite rough. Standup coasters were a fad that now parks realize was a mistake and this is a great option for them.
