Stand ups are definitely one of the worst perturbations of the modern roller coaster...I myself was never down on 2015's coasters, enough new things are being added to the mix to keep it interesting. I definitely like that Cedar Fair is showing that it has outgrown its 'everything must live in the shadow of Cedar Point' phase.

What I have to agree on, though, is the ugliness of the vertical lift hypers (but in Cannibal's case it looks like the layout and theming are making up for it). The worst offense of the year is definitely Busch Williamsburg's half-assed plopping of a garish Premier sky loop thing adjacent to the venerable Apollo's Chariot (can you say capacity nightmare?). I weep for the fact that I may never see that skyline untainted.

^ But totally true. And the way BGW is treating the "secrecy" surrounding the new coaster is downright insulting. I've heard tell of people getting threatened with ejection/banishment for picture taking from the sidewalk.

Okay, then I'm starting a rumor that it's going to be a merry-go-round on steroids.

Seriously? Banning someone from a park for simply taking pictures of a ride that's right there in the open is just ridiculous.

I just hope that once they announce Tempesto, they'll tell us why they waited so long because I can't for the life of me understand why you would wait this long to announce a new ride. Wouldn't they sell a lot more season passes if they had announced it when everyone else did?

For one thing, its got us enthusiasts talking about it.... more so than some rides that were announced at the normal time, like the TGG shuttle, any Six Flags project that's not WC or TC.
What are these for?

BGW's coaster is one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. It's on par with SFMM's Green Lantern in capacity stupidity, and it's like they purposely squeezed it into that area to make the area as ugly as possible with a terrible color scheme.

I guess installing it at CP and putting underneath Gatekeeper would be dumber but it's hard to do worse.

The only hope that ride has left is that they theme the area around it really well. Besides that the three car trains won't be able to help capacity that much.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

Everyone seems to be hating on Tempesto, but keep in mind that SeaWorld/Busch is going through some tough financial times right now. Considering that they can't even afford to tear down Gwazi, I think BGW is lucky that they got this coaster. Sure, it's a low-capacity ride, but every park has at least a few of them, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg is no exception because wouldn't Mach Tower be considered low capacity? Plus, Tempesto should take some people out of line for the larger coasters, at least for this season. I haven't been on any of its clones, but from what I hear, they are all fun rides, and I'm sure Tempesto will be too.

Have you ever ridden Zoomerang? It is by far the smoothest boomerang out there. I got no headbanging at all and the park takes amazing care of it too.
