With all the models being created recently, I too have to decided to make one. My model is full circuit with a lift and 4 turns all of them left. The whole thing took me about 2 hours with most of that time being lift tinkering to get the ball pickup just right. I hope you enjoy.

^ yeah, I would like to get one and have it run around my room or something, and if they ever come out with a rocket/hyper/giga intamin one, I'd run that thing all the way around the office of where I would eventually work at one day. [:P]

I think they look great but I think the incredible speed just makes it look not right!

Nice one with making your own though I bet that goes at the normal speed too!

Also how do the coasters get so fast is it magnets or something?

light trains, steep drops, smooth track = quick ride [:D]

Its all to do with forces. Everything falls at 9.81ms due to good ol' gravity, but the forces on both scales are vastly different. First off, with a large train such as an Inverted coaster, you have a lot of wieght (F=ma Force = Mass x Acceleration) With the larger train the air resistance and friction on there train and going to be alot larger than that of a small model train. Notice how when a train like Oblvion falls over the top of the drop, it seems to slowly acceleration. Thats due to the forces alternating on quite a large scale. Giving the effect that the train starts to fall quite slow. However on a model the forces are alot smaller, so the train quickly accelerates to around 9.81 ms, without the large forces from Air Resistance and Friction to slow it down. Anyway, i think i ramble on a bit

maybe a weight in the train but that could make it too slow....
