Hi there,

I thought I could share a small video i originally made for my application to that "rollercoaster academy" in Holiday Park/Germany.

Please note that this was done in April 2006 (track was made in summer 2004), when the 1.6 update and thus the target view wasnt available yet. Thus i had to handtrace the train here and there.

The people who were already shown liked it quite a bit (often in stark contrast to what they said about other NL promotional videos) so i thought i could show you as well.

Anyway, have a look:

BTW, i'm thinking of releasing it here on wws as well.

I must have gotten this on CS.com because I've ridden it before.

It looks top notch.

Good luck on whatever you were competing on.

Hepta learn to read. He is using this video to get into the Rollercoaster Academy at Holiday Park.

The video is great BTW I love the cool shots at the end where the train goes up the lift, very realistic!

Well, that rollercoaster academy has taken place some time ago. I actually did this in april 2006 when the 1st round of applications was taking place. In may there was the 1st day of it, where we were told what they would like to see from us.

The second round took place until august when we presented some concepts by mail, with another day in september where 12 of us presented their ideas in person. That round had nothing to do with the video i linked to, it was just used as an example of my work for the 1st round of application.

That video is quite nice. The track if I remember is also silky smooth for 2004, and would still hold up quite well to today's standards.

Having ridden this coaster many times (it is available on cs.com at: http://www.coastersims.com/viewcoaster.asp?id=10366) this is a great video for certain and really shows the track in a very "promotional" type of light. Nicely done man, I hope it gets you a nod from those folks.
Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.
