Can't you make the ties disappear if you have the segments too small?

Also note that the ties are still visible on the lift segments.

Well I did some experimenting and the shortest the track could be is roughly at around .605m and at then the track is pretty jerky. If anybody else found a more successful way, please let me know [dorkhat]

Ok...Kyle Sloane...How did you get rid of the ties? I've been searching for days now and I can't figure it out. I want an actual answer instead of these useless comments that just confuse me. Im sorry for being so mean, but I need to know. I can't find out how to do this...AND NO ONE WILL ANSWER ME!!!...UGH...lol

You export it from newton with 1 meter long segments. Then you go to the editor and change all the segments to transport, then go through every single segment and give it an acceleration of 0 and a deceleration of 0 and then checking the hide transport. Then go through from beginning to end splitting each segment in half.

Sounds like a huge pain in the ass...I'm not so sure it's worth it to be honest. I suppose if you REALLY want that track style, you have to do it, but if it's not terribly important to you, definitely not worth it in my opinion.

Sounds like you could skip the steps: Making transports and adjusting them. I think you would get the same effect with just exporting 0,5 meter segments. Or exporting with 1 meter and splitting them just in half...

It is. It also makes the trains vibrate ever so slightly on tight turns and sometimes transitions. But its barely noticeable when in the back and not noticeable in the front at all, and it actually makes it look more realistic.

You can't make them that short.

So export them as 1 meter pieces and then split them all up without changing to invisible transports? Still sounds to me that it would work just as fine...

Edit:

Wow... I just tested out my theory and apparently it doesn't work:

From left to right:
- 0.5m Segments, Hide transport disabled.
- 0.5m Segments, Hide transport.
- 1m segments, Hide transport.
- 0.5m Track Segments.

well, that's much better than the method I came up with... I played with transport segments but it didn't work for me, so I was actually alternating between transport segments and station segments. This is much better, though.

You did it wrong. You are supposed to, before splitting it, make them transports, 0 a/de cceleration, and turn on HIDE TRANSPORT. Then it works. Trust me. It works. I did a whole track like it.
