Alton towers raises its prices AGAIN

On-The-Day theme park price rises, showing changes since March 2008 are as follows:

Adult March 2008 ?????????34.00
Adult March 2009 ?????????36.00
Adult August 2009: ?????????37.00

Child March 2008 ?????????24.00
Child March 2009 ?????????27.00
Child August 2009 ?????????28.00

Family4 March 2008 ?????????90.00
Family4 March 2009 ?????????100.00
Family4 August 2009 ?????????104.00

Family5 March 2008 ?????????100.00
Family5 March 2009 ?????????122.00
Family5 August 2009 ?????????126.50

Internet ticket prices have also gone up, with an adult ticket now costing ?????????29.50 in advance via the Alton Towers website subject to an additional fee. Car Parking and Annual Pass rates remain unchanged. It remains to be seen whether the park raise their prices again in time for the October Scarefest event.

Extraordinarily, the theme park tickets have increased significantly at a time when the national Retail Price Index is approx. -1.4%.

That's about fifty-three bucks for an adult, right? Just about the same as Dollywood, but still extraordinarily high.

I hate having to pay loads to go to the parks, especially when going with friends. Vouchers are good though... How much is Thorpe Park compared?

lol, I think I got my my annual pass at the right time, the year before Merlin came along and ruined everything, just renewal prices for me from now on. It's crazy though now that my renewal price is more than the price I originally bought the pass for, even though it was only 3 years ago.

Attendances are way down on what they were 10 years ago, and it's little wonder.

my renewal comes in november and im dreading paying it but over the past 2 years it has saved me over ?????????3000.

thorpe park is just as expensive now and these prices will rise again when the VAT goes back to 17.5%
